One of the best introductory videos I've seen! There is SO much in this video - it really could take someone months of practice and study to really learn to apply these concepts. I am guilty of over study/over thinking. Playing basic players, I need to pull back to these basics. This will help me refocus on what I really need to be doing vs. basic / recreational players. They just don't know that they only "flop a hand" about 1/3 of the time. They will over call preflop and over fold post flop, but when they do call, they are in to the end (usually). Going to watch this a few more times for sure.
Crazy to think that these basic tactics can make you so much cash. Maximize winnings while minimizing losses. Play each person accordingly. Position is king. I was able to make a living when I played. I stopped playing as often due to certain circumstances. However, I continue to learn. My ability to read my opponents isn’t as sharp, but applying these strategies that Alec has mentioned over time has helped me keep winning overall (playing properly beats getting lucky).

What do you call it when you play like a fish even though you know you aren't ...because you know better🤦♀️. So that was me until your videos and I have watched plenty of other videos but for some reason the way you say things resonates with me... When you said here and in previous videos *if someone re-raises you and you don't have absolute nuts in your hand....FOLD* Basic Poker 101.... It's not what you say because many others have said it before it's *how you say it* Thank You, I am now playing the best game *I am capable of* not *a Villain or a Hero* but a formidable opponent 😊
