It upscales non 4k devices to the xbox one 4k by using the additional Hdmi port. Thus saving an additional one on the tv and keeps both systems in one spot. If you stream xbox to different rooms or devices this could potentially be badass. I agree it seems pointless if you only have two systems and dont stream to other rooms etc. But it does serve an upscale purpose and keeps them on one system guide. Most of my ps4 games are download or part of the stream service. So keeping both together on one hdmi port and upscaling is essentially the benefit.

Thomas Rumleskie TR Seriously this is like the dumbest video I have ever came across on RU-vid. Anybody who owns the Xbox one should know the Xbox one has always had an HDMI TV in port. As a matter of fact I have my Xbox one S system and PS4 system hooked up this exact way and the reason why I haven’t hooked up this way is because my TV only has one HDMI port. So it saves me the hassle from always having to get behind my TV in Polihale every single time and switch HDMI cables from my PS4 to my Xbox one. So I literally have it hooked up exactly like that but that means I have to turn on both systems when I’m playing the PS4 but it’s not like my Xbox one overheats or anything when I’m running a PS4 threw its HDMI input. I mean literally doesn’t even feel like it’s a running it might get slightly warm but that’s it.

for me this is actually useful since the ps4 does not have a 1440p option but i have a 1440p monitor, but the xbox has a 1440p option so if i connect my ps4 to the xbox and set resolution to automatic then it will actually let me run it at 1440p but if i just directly connect my ps4 to the monitor it only lets me play at 1080

I find this as a fun thing to do, but can you use the Xbox 1 controller on the ps4 interface or are you forced to use the ps4 controller but you have to use the Xbox 1 controller to go into the menu

@@aizen6397 it’s true though, the only point in even getting the new PS5 is for the exclusives and it’s way too overhyped when the Xbox series X actually brings power to the gaming industry with crisp 8K graphics and 120FPS meanwhile the PS5 is corrupting at 10 teraflops and mostly gets 60FPS in every game, and the menu screen is too small for my liking

The HDMI input of Xbox One X can only do 1080p meaning the Playstation 4 Pro could output 1080p resolution instead of 4K HDR if plugged into the One X and 4 Pro picture would be upscale to 4K by the Xbox not true 4K.

Crystaldabber 77 technically it is fake!! he made it sound like you’re able to play PS4 games on the Xbox one. When in reality you’re playing your PS4 games on the PS4 it’s still would require a PS4. the only thing you’re doing is your running the PS4 system throw the Xbox ones HDMI input port and then the Xbox one goes in to the input of your TV. So no the Xbox one is not playing PS4 games the PS4 is playing PS4 game for Xbox one is only acting like a receiver sending the signal to the TV that’s all it’s doing.
