I used to do landscaping and when cutting the grass i would do the outter perimeter first then the inside. Never have i seen someone use the smaller pads to do the same with the car panels. Im into detailing now and starting my own business once nicer weather hits. I will take this technique with me on my journey. Thank you! 🤙

Another great job!, It's funny the shine mate polisher is identical to the SPTA SP501 and SP502! To be honest I think it's made in the same place, then everyone puts their own mark on it, even can be directly in the factory 😉. 👍👍👍. I have SPTA flat beveled pads, hex-logic beveled etc, frankly super quality / price, excellent cut and finish, durability, and frankly compared with other pads (meguiar's, flexipads, shine master, maxshine lake country etc ...). SPTA don't have to blush next to them!

Sandro, I've been watching for awhile. I should know the answers but I have a couple questions. Are you blowing out your pad after every set? Before more polish applied? Also about how long did the door take you for just the correction part? I think knowing that would help me pace myself for good results.

Just catching up with your videos, this was an excellent video Sandro. I found when I did a paint correction on my previous 20 yr old car before selling it, doing vertical panels were more difficult to do due to the different heights, angles and positions on the door you need to have the machine, whether using 3" or 5" pads. Just a comment about the cutting stage, after yo did the edges with the 3" pad, you still went over those sections again with the 5" pad, are you removing more clear coat by doing that? Cheers and Happy New Year.

@J63-n9d
@J63-n9d 4 года назад
Don't you think its better to make a strip while applying a compound/polish on a pad instead of drops? Like 4 strips to create a + pattern on the pad. In theory this should give us a more equal cutting power across the pad.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 4 года назад
Well most modern pads now have centre holes to disperse heat which the x or + we used to use would also place the product on the backing plate, but besides that I think we’ve also learnt that we don’t need to use as much product as we used to and in many cases two large overlapping beads of products is a little excessive and may actually reduce the quality of your results especially in single or finishing stages of polishing.

for Handpolishing would you recommend a polish "sponge" like your blue one just with a handle for hand polishing or a microfiber one? Just from the effectiveness factor for a whole car hand polishing.. I used a alclear polishing sponge for my first try but it did took some good amount of pressure and time though I used a gentle Sonax polish and wax one which is probably a finishing polish anyways - after winter I want to go with a mid cut one than removing the haze with the sonax one so I thought if it would make it easier to use a micro fiber cloth/pad for the mid cut and thant the sponge again just with way less force and time to finish the work. :)
