how do you set the duration of the overrun? i want a quick short pop or two, not continuous pops.. and how do you add fuel to that same section where you put -10? you need the extra fuel for louder pops/bangs and even flames, dont you?

Sorry for the late reply. You can either lower your ignition retard to lower in the rev range or set your fuel cut off delay higher.

Don't do this. I've seen this method recommend a lot, and it's poor advice. Bad for the engine, bad for performance. In essence, your goal is to get unburnt fuel past the combustion chamber. Retarding the timing is a poor way to do that. Simplest and safest way is to increase the fuel cut delay. Fuel cut delay is the amount of time after your engine has found it safe to cut fuel (when releasing throttle) that it actually does cut the fuel. If you set the m/s for your delay to ~500+, you'll get burbles, pops, flames, etc. Want more? Increase the delay. Not necessary for basemaps, but I'd suggest tuning your fuel maps if you really want a precise sound with a cat-safe tune. You'll hear pops at stoich (14.7 afr) if you tune your delay correct. Think about it. Dragsters, top fuelers, track cars, etc all burble and pop, without going overtly rich and retarding timing.

Increasing the delay doesn't consistently pop or bang, retarding ignition timing has been used for years by many tuners for many applications such as launch control, anti-lag etc. It really won't make that much of a difference.

If I was you I'd join the Hondata Tuning forum on Facebook. Alot of knowledgeable people on there that are really helpful. I myself have only limited knowledge of the Hondata system, but the guys on there know everything there is to know! Hope that helps.

Because if I'm being honest I wouldn't know how to go about setting up a clutch switch system, if I had to guess you would wire the switch to one of the analog inputs on the ECU and then program it into the system as the switch for initiating the 2step. But again I would still ask the forum.

Any engine with an aftermarket ECU will work with this setup. The user interface and other discrepancies come into play at that point, tho unfortunately.

Havent mapped anything with a s200 ECU so not sure if they use a different U.I. But if your on about mapping for power then essentially you need a wideband 02 sensor for AFR and to set EML to flash on knock, from there you turn everything up in small increments until (depending on if its boosted or NA) you reach the desired AFR and have reached the point of ever so slight pre-igniton and backed it off a few degrees. Also best to set lean protection etc, reccomend watching pfi speed to learn more in depth, Takes time but so cool to drive a car you built and mapped yourself, which not alot of people can say they've done.

@@CharlieAndrews23 you don't need a wideband sensor if your car is speed-density. Pre 2006 hondas were all MAP based, no MAF.

@@toxicreactions5946 Nope. I've returned my old map without pops and bangs... Turbocharging is around the corner and proper Dyno tuning too, so maybe then I will get some pops and bangs...

Sorry about the late reply. Did you change your high speed ignition timing aswell? Because the low speed is for when you are not in vtech and the high is for when you are. Hope this helps.

at what number of rpm is your launch control? and have you increased the fuel supply to make the flames? (I saw your short video on yt)

Standard fuel supply, my launvh control is set the same as in the video. If you have a standard catalytic converter it may cause issue with flames.
