From one nurse to another, thank you so much for your comments about sterilization. I get grief a lot because I don’t pre-sterilize my jars. The act of canning does all that for us.

Great idea! 5:26 it's called the tassel end to put in the pot first. Out of all the years I've been freezing corn, I never knew this method.

I watched you today and it was just so pleasant to watch you can corn! I've always froze my corn and loved it but man I can consume a freezer between butter beans, peas and corn that I'm really trying to get more into canning, I did some corn last year and just did not like it but going to try it one more time! I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed watching you and just how personable you are, Job Well Done! Santa Rosa, Florida here!!

Thank you for clearing up the sterilization myth everyone screams about! It drives me nuts! Just like x-rays of dead people on TV having oxygen in their lungs! I appreciate the straightforward honesty you deliver.

1175 feet above sea level...Lincoln Ne You'd think living in Nebraska, I would have seen your shucking trick before😮 that was pretty slick. Definitely a lot less messy than pulling it off from the top down like is normally done.

😉 I enjoyed listening to you, reminded me of my family in Louisiana with your southern twang. It is frustrating that canning jars went up close to 3 bucks case these days.

Great job walking through all the steps for those of us who are new to canning. I add butter, corn starch, and sugar to my cream corn. Is that ok during the canning process or should you add when preparing to eat it for the holidays?

Never add flour or corn starch to your jars..do so at time of preparing. That 1870s homestead has a great video on corndog syrup..it is so good!!

Add your butter, sugar and cornstarch when you reheat to serve. I find if I mix my cornstarch with a little milk it makes it nice and creamy.
