Checking my 03 f150 window sticker says.. STANDARD EQUIPMENT INCLUDED AT NO EXTRA COST..and remote keyless entry is in the list. I have a lot of OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT but no need to list keyless entry there .. already included. Looks like all 10 gens have it but I'm not sure.

I didn't have a remote to begin with but the ones I ordered came with a card for me to go online and it will tell me how to program it.

Rpm Auto ok gotcha so the way you did it in the video was how you programmed the first one then?

So when you turn your ignition on your doors are unlocking and locking by themselves

@@RpmAuto yeah so my door locks automatically lock when I turn the truck on and automatically unlock when I turn it off. I think that may be throwing it off somehow

I don't know that's kind of weird I know when you put the truck in reverse it's supposed to automatically lock. It's got to be some kind of control unit that operates that. Have you tried googling it

@@ob9609 i got the same problem bought these fobs for my dads 99 F150 and every time you turn the key it locks and unlocks, anyone have any luck with a fix on this?

Not sure. I would think so. You are just going to use it for the alarm system since your door locks don't work

@@RpmAuto I was hoping the locks would work with the remote even if they didn’t work with the actual buttons in my truck

Well if you have a stripped down version of your truck it might not. Do you have a build sheet. Not sure if car fax could tell you if your truck came from the factory with a alarm

My truck at one point had remote entry w/ alarm and it too had no unlock/lock buttons on the door panels nor did it have power windows

@@RpmAuto very weird I know, It was working before the jump I did, Went right away got replacement battery for remote but wont unlock doors , only by key, had to hold my blinking alarm reset button to start truck, Will try the reprogram method an update, may need a whole new remote...thanks, I've always heard if it's just the battery replaced no need to reprogram...will see .

@@RpmAuto Update: on my 2002 ford Supercrew I did the 8 time key cycle, on the second try the remote with the new battery installed is now working so far ! Will see how long..

Yeah if it has a factory alarm system.

It may be something wrong with your factory security system. Check all your fuses and make sure they are good

Thanks. It's a one owner. It sat since 2015 after a wreck that the insurance company salvage titled. The lady bought it back from the insurance company and parted it. It only bent the frame where the bumper bolts. Her close friend bought it and fixed frame and put it up for sale. Every document in the truck shows where it was last serviced and insured in 2015. I am in the process of getting title cleared of the salvage situation.

Do your truck have power locks or manual. And if you have power locks are both door actuators good when you hit the lock and unlock button. If you hit the unlock and lock button and nothing happens check your fuses

@@RpmAuto I have power locks and only my driver side actuator is good. But outside of programming my driverside works and you can hear it working but when turning the key 8 times my locks dont cycle

@@alikariem592 try disconnecting the battery and then do the process over.

I'm not really sure then maybe your alarm system has a problem. You might have to get a aftermarket alarm

@NorthwestDroneService only if your truck has a factory alarm it will work..

It may be something wrong with your factory alarm system

It might not have one. I don't know how you could tell. Unless you contact the dealer or find a build sheet in the truck somewhere. It will have it on there somewhere

@@jessperez477did you ever figure out how to tell if truck has keyless entry? Just picked up a 2000 and purchased fobs but it’s not working. No idea if it even came equipped with keyless entry

Well my truck is a 2000 and when I bought the keypads it said 2003 2013 so I don't know about a 97 you might need to check the place where you got yours from and see if it go to that your year
