How to Program an Orbit Easy Dial Timer - Basic Programming 

Moved into a new house and previous owner has this exact system. This video saved me big time! Thank you for a great video and explaining exerting in detail.

One of the things about programming is, we're not used to it. This video is very good and shows details that we (I) might miss. For example, the clock it self is a little bit slow and time isn't constant for Orbit. Like the phone or watches.... Again the video is a keeper!!!

This is so easy and intuitive compared to the old irritol I had. Also, much more reliable as the irritol would randomly shut off all the time by itself. I think irritol is meant to be "irritating" meanwhile I had Orbit up and running and tested in 5 minutes.

I almost bought Rain-bird sprinkler timer thinking Orbit is a piece of junk. Now that I see the light, thanks this helpful video.

I have one and I've been programming it wrong! I couldn't figure out why my water bill was so high: I thought I needed to program each station... so my system was running the whole program four times every time! No wonder my lawn looked so lush in a drought! This helped me fix it! Thanks!

Great video! My dial is a little different. It has Clock and Date on the same section and a Budget setting after How Often. I’ll have to look up my specific model to see what budget is about. Otherwise i was able to set it perfectly. Cut down water usage tons since it used to be set to water every day twice a day. That was nuts! One time, every three days, five minute intervals it is. 😊

Here's what really messed up my effort to program your timer. The timer has a setting for Start Time 1, Start Time 2, Start Time 3 ..., but they don't correspond to Station1, Station 2, Station 3, .... Start Time 1 will run all stations that have a non-zero run time. Start Time 2 and 3 also run all the stations too.

I set mine and I have 2 stations and I start them at 6:30pm and then with a run time of 15 minutes then the next one starts at 6:45pm and also with a run time of 15 minutes but when the last one ends it just repeats and keeps repeating until I turn it off

How do I set the pm mode to setup evening watering?

Is there any way to set this up to run only station 2? Station 1 is my front yard. Station 2 is my backyard. I only need station 2 to run 3 times/day but I can’t figure it out.

What is Budget on dial used for?

I have this setup and was able to program it fine after I moved in but what is weird is I did not setup program B yet something is running because when the sprinklers go off they stop then they start again shortly after. Can it just be a malfunction or a programming issue? My husband said he reset it but now I am going to try again before I give up.

Okay so I need help. Thought this tutorial would help me but I have the first time set for five am and it never shuts off even though I set it for 7 minutes for each zone. Basically once it turns on it never turns off. Do I have a programming problem or an electrical problem?

I realize now that this waters a single station once a day if it's set that way. That's what I guess but please feel free to correct me. I set all station to go off at 3 pm today. It's 258 pm as of writing this. We shall see if this resolves my issues. Edit: It doesn't work. And the time lags. There was a 7 minute lag time from when I set the time/date. Like I set the time to be 1200pm and let it run. I come back at 1210 and its reading 1207. And I already replaced the battery so that isnt it. Yes its plugged. My system is faulty.

I thought something was wrong with my sprinklers and come to find out I was programming it wrong so this video did help however now I notice my sprinklers only seem to work when I turn them on manually HELP!!!!!

I have been unable to cancel Program B so , the program runs twice. I have to run it manually to avoid over watering, not to mention the expense. Help please.

HELP! I just programmed the timer for my friend; it was fairly easy to do. However, the timer keeps reverting back to the initial 'factory' settings after just a few minutes. I reprogrammed the controller a few times again and somehow it is not saving the settings. Could you please provide some feedback or troubleshooting information? Thank you!

I followed the instructions but I have a station that runs constantly. I can't seem to get it to shut off regardless of what program I use to shut it off - even in the OFF position. It is like it has a mind of its own. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I m sorry I didn t really get how to program i.e. Station1 for 30 min and just after it finishes, Station 2 for another 30 min both on program A . Am I missing something?? Somebody could help?? Thanks in advance guys

I did not watch the vidio as the easy step guide was easy to follow and set up the timer to come on twice daily. Every thing was working as advertised.

Spent an hour trying to make it work.....it wasnt connected to power

No matter how many times I watch these videos I get more confused every time! I find I have to go out and punch buttons on a Random basis to get this stupid system to do anything! It's just a matter of luck if I can get this thing to work. I find this whole system extremely complicated and Extremely difficult to use. They don't tell you that sometimes you have to punch buttons twice or individually in between setting a function, and also they don't tell you that its a matter of sequencing to get this thing to function. If a button ids not pushed at an exact time and several times and before an after each station, it just won't work. As I've said its a matter of pushing buttons at random and hoping for the best with this STUPID system!

You never show how to set the A B so it is only A, I am having a hard time getting it to stay on A only. Also you sometimes push enter and sometimes you don't without saying anything about it. It is confusing. I have watched this video numerous times and have set my sprinklers by this video 3 times now and they keep coming on twice, They complete the cycle of the 5 stations twice through. I have noticed it the and shut it off before it got through the second cycle so I don't know if it would just keep repeating running through more than twice.

This was no help right off the bat since my unit, although nearly identical to the one in the video, the time/date function is combined on one selection and for the life of me I can't set the time. Oh well.

I program this piece of shit and it still says the next watering cycle will be Friday

The instructions make things even more complicated. The demonstration was not consistent when to press enter. Instructions are not clear when to use A_B or if I need to. Attempting to talk with a technician is just as confusing. I waited 92 minutes the first time and 47 minutes the second and the success was around 2. Orbit should remove EASY - it isn't. Possibly Rainbird will be a better solution.

Let me say this.. there is nothing easy about this piece of trash. It is the most useless machine I've used when it comes to simple watering. The manual mode should be simple, I just wanna sit down with a cold one and look at the water go yet it continues to turno off before the timed limit. F orbit.
