This is the best tutorial I've ever watched on youtube. No joke. The calculator display on the left so my dumb*** doesn't get confused AND the thorough explanation. You the goat.
@@GlaserTutoring I know this is a year after the tutorial, and seven months later, but I was wondering if there's a way that I can leave the final answer in radical form? or even just a final way to convert it to radical, or even fraction
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much! Just programmed this into my TI-84. I especially love the comment about the teachers and professors not loving it but "quite honestly who cares." Absolutely love your channel and I tell everyone in my class about it. Thanks again!
This is amazing to know, Cassandra! Who cares what they think when it makes learning Math easier and more enjoyable! 😀. Thank you for spreading the word in your class and for being a part of this community!
I'm deeply touched by your words! I'm so glad that I could help alleviate your distress. Remember, you're never alone! Keep shining bright, and know that you're valued and appreciated! 😀
I completely understand! While working through problems by hand is great for learning and understanding the concepts, it can be quite time-consuming, especially with complex equations. I'm glad I could provide a quicker solution for you. Keep up the excellent work! 😀
Going to use this for my final in case there's a quadratic question. Plus, I couldn't figure out a question on the review and this video helped me solved it so thank youuu!!!
Hello! Ur video helped a lot, but I’ve check over the code and can’t find any typos or anything, yet when I click enter on my calculator and put in the A,B, and C values, it will give me something like: -3+18i -3 Is there any way to fix this? It’s been getting a few answers wrong as well and I would really like for this to be able to work considering how convenient it is lol
Can you help me a little? My computer displays "ERR: ARCHIVED, 1: Quit, 2: Goto" every time I finish entering values for A, B, C and press enter. I tested a+bi mode and did everything I could but it still failed😭😭
gOOD IDEAS!! You know I'm using it by the 1st. time TI's, because have been a fan of CASIO'S and Sharps. I'm seeing that the way to program them is not so much different but a little more exhaustive and requires learning by memory all the menus Math, Program, Catalog, etc. Anyway, it's good to have here people who know use these brands!!! Thank you very much for helping old students!!!
You're welcome! I am so glad that this video has helped you. Check the channel out - we have thousands of videos on Physics, Chem, and Math topics that you may be learning! Good luck in your studies! 😀
This was so help full me and my friend did it to pur calculators(mine being a ti 84 plus ce)(hers being a ti84plus) we entered the same probelm and we both got differnt anwser and we type it in again and still got differnt anwsers.
Hm - I would check your program or maybe start fresh again! Maybe there was a silly mistake somewhere in the code when one of you plugged it in. Hopefully this helps!
You're welcome! I am so glad that this video has helped you. Check the channel out - we have thousands of videos on Physics, Chem, and Math topics and if your learning these topics we provide step-by-step solutions to all different types of problems! Good luck in your studies! 😀
You're welcome! I am so glad that this video is helping you in your Algebra class. Keep up the great work and check the channel out - we have tons of Algebra playlists that may be able to help you in your class work! 😀
Thank you for being a subscriber, Jordan! Your support means a lot to us and the channel would not be where it is without your help. Keep up the great work! 😀
I've noticed that my calculator will struggle to show the full part of both roots when the answer is a repeating decimal. For example a=3, b=2, & c=5 gives me .333333333 + 1. .... and .33333333 + 1. ... I later learned this is .333 -1.25i, .333+1.25i. Do you how I can scroll for this answer? Normally I try to scroll but the program just shows as done.
You're welcome! Keep up the great work and check the channel out - we have thousands of videos with step-by-step solved solutions for multiple subjects waiting for you! 😀
Hi there! I would just try to run through the instructions again - maybe you accidentally pressed an incorrect key which will not allow you to complete the programming.
I am so glad that these videos are helping you in your class! Keep up the great work. Also, PS - RU-vid tells me that YOU are one of our highest commenters so THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your support! Keep up the great work - you rock! 😊
I have done everything correctly, I inputted the values: 1, 1, -420, in the corresponding order of a, b, c... It keeps saying syntax error.. I tried your examples as well and it says the same.
@GlaserTutoring Are you sure the answers supposed to have negative INTEGERS ? ? ? I followed your steps but Every time i try to factor it is giving me the wrong integers.
Is there any way for me to select and use either value given by this function? Anytime I move the cursor up, the whole function including my answers disappears off the screen, and then I have to do the function over again.
For anyone who wants an answer to this, if you follow this video then your two results are stored in the D and E letters. All you need to do is press 'Alpha' > 'D' to get the first value calculated, and 'Alpha' > 'E' to get the second value
You're welcome! Keep up the great work and check the rest of the channel out - we have worked out solutions for 5,000+ questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Math! 😀
I have an Nspire but it never occurred to me to just create a multi-variable thing really fast. Wouldn't have saved time in calc I since we have to show our work anyway but for any future classes, this is a great idea
When I programmed this, it will only show me one of the roots. Ex: using the equation: 0=-3x^2+4x+4 the values for x should be -2/3 and 2. But, my calculator is only giving me x=-2/3. How do I correct this?
Hi Kate! That is odd - maybe give your calculator a hard restart and try again? I would advise this if only if the quadratic equation formula is programmed into your calculator. If you have other add-on programs you installed, they would get erased with the hard reset. To reset your calculator press 2nd + (mem) and then go down to "Reset..." press enter and then press "All RAM" then press "Reset". Then from there you can run through the video again to put in the Quadratic Equation and it should work!
@@GlaserTutoring Mine does the same! I also have to click twice - thank you for mentioning that in the video, because otherwise I would be really confused and I would think something was wrong with my calculator!
If you are inputting a, b, or c values that are in the thousands or above (and requiring a comma) you do not put the comma into the value. For example, for a value of 1,000 - you would just input it as 1000. Hopefully this helps! 😀
You are never too dumb - you got this! I am so glad that you found this channel - check the rest of the channel out, we have A LOT of Math videos that may help you on your ACT! Good luck! 😀
Are you sure the answers supposed to have negative INTEGERS ? ? ? I followed your steps but Every time i try to factor it is giving me the wrong integers.
The answers that the program provides will depend on the a, b, and c values that are inputed. Sometimes the x answers will be positive and sometimes they will be negative!
You're welcome, Chi! I am so glad that this video has helped you! Also, thank you so much for being a subscriber to the channel! Your support means a lot to us and the channel would not be where it is without your help. Keep up the great work - you got this! 😀
