This was an excellent tutorial and worked well with my 1997 Classic Jeep Cherokee. The original fob that came with the alarm is no longer made. 'The Dog' chewed up one of the two original ones and I needed a second one for back-up. The newer Viper model that replaced the original was advertised to be compatible with the original and they were true to their word. I purchased Two replacements and programmed both in less than 5 minutes. Having functional back up remotes to match sets of back up keys when living in sparsely inhabited areas is a necessity. I am grateful you took the time to record it as well as demonstrating that the first attempt did not work. I needed the extra tips. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much. I first tried it with the instructions that the remote came with. Didn't work. Then I tried it with your method, work like a charm. Nice work.
Thank you. I was about to make an appointment with my local alarm system installer because my alarm stop working. After I reset it, it has been working perfectly.
Thanks turns out with my older 7142V viper remote the process is almost the same except you only initially press valet button once, then press again and hold, the original remote had lost its sync after car battery died for a long period, replaced car battery and was faced with this issue, luckily it was an easy fix.
HAHAHAHA. This is the first time I've seen you. I'm laughing at your "car repairman from Germany" voice and your neatly tucked in t-shirt. It's OK that I laughed cus it made me subscribe to your channel.
What button did you push to sync it? You said "top" I couldn't really see it looks like it is the little black triangle, not the orange button with the asterisk, right?
I have the python version same model number but 7145P. The remote is close to the same but I have no button on my antenna and I can't find a button under the dash. Anyone have an idea where to look?
@@MO-ls5sk woth your door open press the lock button then aux then lock again . It should be back normal. Give it a try and hopefully it will work with you as it did with me.
