Need to mention that you have to hold the button and watch for it to “ramp up” into each programming sequence. Ended up figuring this out from another user
You don't have to but you can. In the video you can see how thumb is off the button as we set it to program mode 2. Just let it ramp up and you're good to go.
THE COMMENT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR. 1. Press repeatedly until in program mode 2. Now DOUBLE TAP (not click) to cycle modes (this is what I needed to know) 3. Complete your input by letting the light fully intesify from the setting you want. 2 was the big step for me because he’s not mentioning it’s two fast taps to go through each setting. I would get into programming then only do single taps and suddenly be out of programming. Hope that was helpful for someone.
Hell yeah, looking forward to playing with the duty tonight! 100% is awesome but damn would I like another setting so I don't nearly burn my hand. 😂 Thanks for the IG share y'all.
On my Duty light I occasionally have a issue where I take the light out my pocket and hit the switch once or twice to go through low or high, and the light goes into program mode. This happens with one or two clicks. Not twelve or so like it’s supposed to take. Not fun when I’m trying to light something up and it’s flashing and I have to wait until it clears out.
For some reason I got the cloud MCH 2.0 EDC-D and have tried and tried this but can't get into programming mode or configuration mode. I just goes back and fourth from low to bright, low to bright with each click. Any info. Thanks in advance
^ if you have very little experience with a flashlight as an everyday tool. If you have any programmable light or light that requires you to do multi taps to get to the desired level of acceptable light. You can’t tell me you’ve never fumbled passing up the setting, turning it off, clicking on again tapping again to reach the level you want, and that’s when your not under duress
Horrible video. You need to explain it while you show it. My light doesn’t cycle through the modes at all. My advise, either explain it verbally or in writing.
Are you able to get it in programming mode? If you prefer written instructions you cand find them here www.clouddefensive.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/MCH-Duty-Manual.pdf Please make sure your light is also programmable. The head will day "DF" on the side. Feel free to contact our CS department if you need further assistance.
@@CloudDefensive thanks for the reply. I was pretty frustrated at the time, but I found the manual you linked and got it figured out. I do think the video could use a bit more detail. Other than that, I like the light so far. Thanks again guys.
@@CloudDefensive Link just redirects to the home page. This video doesn't show the amount of time necessary or explain the hardness of click needed to cycle through the programs. I'm watching, and trying to recreate it, and I am running against into a wall. The available literature on this is merely marketing level, not technical how-to, with the PDF redirecting to the home page. With this video, I understand the concept but it's not being explained on how to do so aside from a high level. It assumes too much. Further, what do these levels even mean? What *is* "Mode 2: Low (10%), High (100%)"? Does that mean it starts "low" and moves into a high setting over a period of time for letting the eyes adjust? Does it mean it's a combo of low and high together like fog lights and high beams? I have no idea.
