thanks for the video! I found a broken piece of opuntia recently and have just stuck it in soil and your video taught me to give it that extra care

If you water a cactus right after getting cut can cause rot. It's best to let the wound callous (dry) for a few days or even weeks to prevent that from happening

For this opuntia, i just directly poke into the soil. Water after 2 days 👍🏻. Hardy and root easily.

I’m not sure what kind of cactus I have but I was to propagate it or something like that because it’s toppled over and completely mushy and I want to save it. I’ve never seen this before. The cactus has a purple bulb, not flower, at the top of it and it has spikes like the rest of the cactus. I have a red one exactly like it, but the purple one is mushy and dying. Is there a way to propagate the dying one with the purple part at the top? I’m so sorry for not knowing what it’s called

How often should you water them before roots develop?

I was told to leave the cuttings on the side for a week and then pot the is that right
