Swedish Ivy is so easy to care for and propagate! In this video I show you how easy it is to grow and propagate and how quickly it pushes out new growth. Some Swedish Ivy care tips are included as well.
My mom has several of these (like 10 hanging baskets) and gave me one recently. She propagates it by just sticking cuttings in the soil, grows like a weed. Loves shade and lots of frequent watering.
The pink pot might have something to do with it rooting faster, giving it some darkness... I have tried propagating this plant before and they ended up not rooting and dying. I love this plant but have never been able to keep it growing they always end up dying on me. I'm definitely gonna propagate some cuttings just in case my newly bought plant has a mishap in the near future. Love your videos.
You are such a natural beauty!! So, mine does not flower, nor does it creep! But it is beautiful and healthy. It’s always had just one stem with long “branches” that grow out. When they get too long i will propagate and then i just end with other single stem ivys. Even if i plant 2 together. Any advice on getting it to naturally start more stems resulting in a fuller ivy. I hope this makes sense! Thank you so much. Subscribed!!
I just bought a very huge creeping charlie. I had had them for years, then could not find them, so I was very excited to find one again. This is absolutely huge and so I've cut some stems, and put in water to root. Then I saw where you should just put them directly in the soil, so I did that. Now I want to cut more to propogate. Which procedure do you think works best? If I broke this hanging basket into pieces I could make at least 15 more baskets. It's huge! Thanks🙂
