100% on POINT! If only we could regulate parents' online postings, especially those who expose their children's privacy just to attract attention on social media.
The part where u talk about the sonogram 🤯 and how we are the last generation who got to choose how to curate our online presence, that’s wild to think about.
I'd say for children it might be a good idea to use "stories" or similar more ephemeral posts that will dissappear after a time. Alternatively hide posts on your own after a month or so. In any case make the posts visible to only friends and family, never public.
I think this is a very problematic topic and everyone would have a different view on this matter. I have 3 kids and I vlog their life take regular pictures and videos of all of them. This also helps me to keep the very fond memories of them being little as they grow so quickly. Whilst they all used to love me taking pics and publishing videos and even watching it back, my 15 year old daughter grew less fond of this and started asking not to. So I stopped. I no longer film her or share her pics as she has expressed for me not to do that. It was her request and I respect this. So now we all have to think how this is affecting their future and also be mindful that they might just not want us to share they life with anyone they wouldn't like to share. Again, I am sure may would disagree or agree, I just wanted to share my perspective. Great talk by the way
Absolutely! I have heard stories of people who started with little or no knowledge but managed to emerge victorious thanks to Ana Graciela Blackwelder.
