How far from you was it ? What do you charge for a service like that ? And how many gallons of diesel do you include in that? Was also considering to start offering that service near me in Florida .
Hey man I just started watching your videos. Love your content. Keep bringing it. However, let me say this. My background is in trucking. I'm very interested in getting into the roadside service business. You actually did it right. That pump you would usually find on a reefer trailer. That is a primer in case your reefer runs out of diesel. That primer sucks fuel back into the fuel line and removes the air. Warning your arm is going to get a workout. (That's nothing to you Lol) Now back to the truck. What I've done myself is fill the fuel filter canister at least 3/4 full, screw the cap back on unlatch the air in-take tube remove the cover and spray about 2-4 shots of starter fluid in the air in-take while having the driver to turn on the truck. The engine would catch and turn over. (DO NOT OVER SPRAY WITH THE STARTER FLUID BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT THE ENGINE TO VAPOR LOCK). That's my little 2 cents. I been asking for $200 plus fuel. 3 for that I’m gonna give you a tip I learned . Keep it simple . Carry a can of starter fluid . While they crank spray starter fluid into air filter . As it’s roughly running keep spraying until the engine forces all air from line and runs normally . Easier , faster and cleaner than priming or purging .
