Thank you so much. This was exactly what I needed. My P Verrucosum was getting nice and big but my problem was that with the moss pole it would fall over all the time. So I put it in a larger pot, though concerned because it didn't have that many roots for the size of the pot. And unfortunately it did indeed lead to problems. My plant nearly died, root rot. I tried to save what was left by trying to propagate it in a glass of water, but no roots wanted to grow and it just dropped leaf after leaf, and the stem in the water kept rotting. Until I was left with a leaf that hasn't quite unfurled (the only leaf left) half of it went yellow, so I cut that part of. Suddenly I had the idea of putting it in leca, and put a plastic bag around it sort of creating a "greenhouse", high humidity. Finally, I mean this is months later I see some roots growing. But there's not much stem left since I had to keep cutting the rotten parts. I really hope it will survive. My thoughts were if it does survive I think I'm going to keep in leca rather than potting mix, and as I was searching this I came across your video. Just what I needed.

I watched another video and saw she used wood to use as a pole, for me price wise that works obviously moss looks better but until I can afford it starting out I'm going to try wood with your recommended solution.

Yes, some people have had good results with wood. The only thing is that it is prone to rot so you need to protect it.

It is a propylene sheet. Try this and see if it orks. It is the closest I could find in the US amzn.to/3JO2YS3

Hello, Thank you for the compliment. I water the poles with the nutrient or fertilizer solution weekly or so depending on the temperature and how quickly they dry out. I also have a pressure sprayer with a nutrient solution that I spray throughout the week.

I have a severe problem. Since i've put mosspoles in leca, even with space between the leca and the moss, there is mold on the pole. First at the bottom and then it wanders up. I don't know what to do, cause the other plants in my potting mix don't have moldy poles...

I got the plant in the mail wrapped in moss and I put it in a ccs solution to perk it back up for about a day before I made the video.

When I could not find the plastic I used discarded bits of the plastic they use for laminating or something at Officeworks. They have it to me for free and I combined a few sheets to get some thickness and it works. Plant care is all about improvising 😊
