An instructional video on how one should put their scooter on the center kickstand. A very simple and effective way to store away any size scooter for a person of any weight! Also how to dismount easily.
Dude you're dreaming. I've tried hundreds of times! U must be physically strong enough to do what ur saying. Im just waiting for the manufacturers to think up and design a powerized center stand and THAT will solve the problem for me. Otherwise im stuck searching for someone to help every time i need my bike put on center stand.
Lol. That’s how I felt for the first while. I’m about 130lbs. Not sure if that matters. I find that I basically have to step on it, as if I’m walking, so like I’m trying to push my foot to the ground, and no lifting at all.
I agree… I went and took a look at one yesterday and he showed me how to do it and I struggle three times in a row I was so embarrassing but I just need to work out and build my strength…definitely not as easy as it looks
I've watched about 5-10 how to use your center stand suggesting different techniques and theyve all been helpful. Go with what works for you. Most important info for me was to make sure both centerstand feet are on the ground before tou step and lift. That did it for me.
I've been watching a bunch of these videos. I tried yesterday and almost dropped my Yamaha Majesty but I think I'm ready to try again. Thanks for the demo.
im a little girl, dont weigh much. your method was kind of hard for me still. i found that rocking it back and forth helped me finally get it over the edge. enough momentum backwards and it made it easier for me.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I just got a scooter and am totally new to it so I really appreciate your videos. :) I’m trying to find one that explains parking on hills. Do you have one or can you suggest somewhere to look? Thank you 🙏
I thought that i am quite advanced at scooters.. I got center stand by one guy, and installed it, and i got scooter on it. But I used wrong technic. Thanks for tutorial, this was youtubes best.
in order to remove the central stand can you ride the scooter but not sit on it and just push it farward while standing ? my scooter is heave and i am worried if it fell down from the oposite side.
Omygod thank you so much I just got my GMW M2 and its soooo heavy and I was having so much trouble with the center stand and I just tried your way and I woked perfectly
Thank you thank you thank you. Im only 8 & half stone n 5ft 1 I tried everything nearly gave up then I found this video. I'm only tiny b my bike s quite heavy so if u can do it u men can, x
What if i don't have that little L shape on my center stand that allows me to stand on it? I just have a peg that sits on the ground like a normal stand, but works like a center stand, im quite a weak dude so would this still work?
They are juat different ways with one maybe being harder. The first way is harder on my moped but in driving school we were taught the first way and using the right technique it was simply effortless, but it depends on the moped.
Worth mentioning there are videos out there that tell you to pull the brake to stop the bike getting away from you. What? Turn off the ignition and that won't happen. Pull the brake and the bike won't move. That's its job.
+Grace Portugal Hi Grace! Just wondering whether you ever got it. I just got a Gio scooter and also cannot do it. I'm 5' tall, and weight 90 lbs. Still trying. I had him for 1 week now. Good luck and happy New Year.
I think the trick is the way he steps into the stand with his right foot. I have a Kymco 150cc that I just purchased and I got it up once on the center stand once the “wrong” way. Not good for the back. Enjoy your Vespa.
one other easier way is to push the center stand down with your feet and pull your scooter to the back with ur hand it's more easier no need to pull it from the handlebars
so you people know get used to the center stand you never want to use the little stand he uses in the end as just grabing the bike wrong will make the scooter fall and get damaged. my self I rip the little side stand off every scooter I get both for it not being safe and cus its added waght . most of the dealers buy me do the same thing they pull them off and do not even offer to sell them or give them to you.
if something breaks or fails on the center stand, which it will, now you can't set the bike on anything. it's not in the way, leave the dam thing on there and use the center stand, the springs on the center stand also tend to come off
my we aren't sure what it is, made by Yiben sold as JM star, weighs about 250 with a gallon and a half of gas. I rolled it on the airplane scale which is calibrated, 249 with all the stuff under the seat removed and the tank full
@Nillb it was a 650cc like 2010ish Burgman scooter. It wasn't light in the least, but a great ride! I have an 800cc suzuki boulevard now, and it weighs like another half of what the scooter was I'd say. So about 2/3rds the weight of a regular motorcycle if that helps, good luck!
There is only ONE kickstand on a scooter. SEVEN times you referred to the center stand as the "center kickstand". Also, you neglected to mention the IMPORTANT point that one should make sure that BOTH feet of the center stand are touching the ground before you send the scooter backward.
