Hey all, here's a rebuild I done on my RM 125. Hope you enjoy. Music is royalty free from teknoaxe.com/ Tracks are: I got a bazooka man Bar stool hurts man. All other content is my own.
I love this video because I rebuilt a '79 RM125 back in 1986. I got it FREE and replaced the tires and plastics and it scared the hell out of my dad after going through the whole bike and replacing cables and whatnot. It was a rocket and there is nothing that replicates 2 stroke power delivery!
Great Job Brother. I am building a RM 125 now and my Buddy at Tricked out Cycles in PA Chromed the whole Bike up for me. Just looking for a New Engine now !!!!!!!!!!
Looks freaking sweet! I just brought my 91 rm125 in the house so i can hopefully do the same exact thing! Super stoked to do this. Its my first time so got alot to learn!
Dang man good job!!!! Shows that if u see what looks like a beat to hell bike for sale as long as everything functions it can be cleaned up and good as new!!!!
Oh man I hate having to take the rear suspension off cuz I had it done by mcr suspension (love it). I had the entire frame and sub-frame powder coated black and looks really sharp! I like the look of ur bike also but looks like it could use new tires at some point
awesome planning to do that with my two rm125s. what paint did you use on the muffler and pipe, not sure what kind of paint can endure the heat. looks good you should do a walk around of it running
Go down to your local auto parts store and get ya some VHT high temperature engine enamel. Its made for car headers mostly but will withstand 550 degree heat and comes in all different colors. Make sure you surface prep your parts so you dont end up redoing what youve already done. Good luck bro!!
the bike looks amazing how much did you buy that bike like that for? how much money and time did you spend to get it to look like it does now? how long did it take you to do all of that?
Hey man! Imwas recently looking around for a new dirt bike. I've been riding quads(yes...) and dirt bikes for about 3-4 years now and i've fiddled with them a bit... I recently rebuilt the top end of a friend's crf 450 and I just fell in love with working on bikes. I was wondering if it was possible to buy a beat up 2 stroke and rebuild it from the ground up without too much exterior help... I would just watch tutorials on youtube and ask questions on forums and such if i ever got stucked. I wonder if I can pull this off by my self... Would be great to get an answer! Thanks
Spaz Skope 2 strokes are alot easier to work on than 4 strokes there is no denying that. Although I highly doubt that you will find many in depth (if any) tutorials on youtube. best way to go would be to just pull it all apart yourself and take a bunch of pics so you know how it goes back together... figure it out yourself - it's the best way to learn. forums would help alot tho. Good luck buddy !
