Years ago my life coach taught me a simple practice after first waking...when you place your foot down to the floor say “Thank” then the other foot “You”, and really sit and soak in gratitude for God’s grace and set the tone of gratitude for the day.

I struggled with gratitude for the longest time... few years ago I couldn't just appreciate gifts and whatever, to an extent of rejecting them in a way and it saddened the giver. I'm glad I've past that episode. Thank you

I was just meditating on receiving the things I am intending to manifest in my life this morning. This video is right on time. Receiving is just as important as giving. I had the hardest time receiving in my life even outside of relationships. It has been a disservice to me in life. Even receiving from the God/Universe has been difficult. But you are so right...it is about giving thanks and being grateful.

In 2020 I sent a bridal shower gift and a baby shower gift to two different people, both gifts were chosen from their registries. Obviously, the events weren't in person, so I had the gifts sent to their homes attached with notes expressing my love and joy for them and that it was from me. Neither of them reached out to me after to acknowledge the gift or share their thanks. Not even a text. Saying "thank you" definitely matters! I see you got the gift, but DID you get the gift? It makes me question myself. I know they're busy with those changes in their life, but not being able to be there with them to celebrate in person, and then not even being acknowledged after really hurts. Made me realize how important showing gratitude and saying "thanks" really is.

Hi Dr. Michelle...I have been an ardent follower and fan ever since I discovered you. Since I have come of age, I have been struggling with showing gratitude and appreciation and at the same time not even trilled when someone shows to me either. I am hardly moved by things, I don't feel trilled the way other people does whenever they see something Beautiful, magnificent, luxurious or whenever they receive things like money, gift etc. I have come to realize that it's a big issue for me, cos it has affected me negatively in my relationships, with God, family and at my working places etc. You don't know how happy I am to have come in contact with this video. Believe me when I say you are really touching lives positively with your teachings in reassuring calm voice. YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! God bless you for all you do and Grant you more Grace to do more Love from Nigeria💕

Thank you so much for this great video. I really appreciate you talking about the respect side of receiving and being conscious are what vessel the blessing/gift we are receiving from. I think that this message is especially important because we as women need to have that level of respect for ourselves to not receive from anywhere and anybody in any condition that is degrading, dangerous, or uncomfortable but may be easy, fast, and tempting. I am learning a lot from your videos and you've helped me upgrade my life and my confidence and gratitude. I need to work on thanking the person immediately after receiving the gift in the mail. This is one of my biggest struggles. I feel like I need to “earn” in order to receive. Hard work is important but I have a problem with receiving if someone wants to give me something. Like I’m not deserving of it.

Notification gang! A receiving mentality is a game changer. Love love love! Dr. Michelle, can you cover the topic of trauma media and it's impact on people? I've noticed some people glued to negative events tends to be so argumentative. I keep my distance but it does concern me.
