for begginers on obs 1: download obs (free) 2: go on sources and right click in the space given and click add 3: click display capture 4: it should be displaying ur screen too how to add webcam 1: go on scenes and right click in space given and click add 2: name the scene *webcam* 3: right click in sources 4: click add 5: click video capture device 6: name it anything and click ok 7: u should see ur webcam 8: click ok 9: adjustt the webcam and then record!
superb!!! thinking about using some of this capability in a documentary film I am making. Just have to figure out WHICH techniques to use and how to work them into the film! Cool.
This one worked better for me, now I just have to figure out how to integrate it with RU-vid, and editing software. There isn’t much videos about how to do things for pc’s.

I thing that I don’t understand is that when you go to press the stop recording button does the video capture that or it looks like you are still in the home-screen
@111robloxiscool111 thanks I found that I had this proplem because my laptop have 2 graphics cards Nvidia and intel .from nvidea control panel I made this program to work on intel card only and thats worked! 😀
Exactly what I needed! Not a gamer-- I'm in private education, but with COVID-19 canceling all my workshops, I needed a way to post my tutorials without needing to meet with students. I think this will work!
I'm in exactly the same situation. This program works perfectly. And you can record the tutorials in short pieces and then put them together with movie maker.

Dear Kevin, I am having the same problem as Lucario. I can only see myself in the little window when I play back after recording. I cannot see any other recording I made within the same screen. I bet I missed one of the steps. Can you kindly advise. I would highly appreciate. Thanks in advance.
If you have tried Screencastify, let me know if OBS is better. I find Screencastify simple to use but I am now looking for a screen casting app/software for videos that are not for teaching.
@@samosa5925 Maybe you could try the Wondershare DemoCreator, which is a pretty easy to use screen/webcam/audio recorder and supporting video editing:)

Super helpful, had to fiddle with a few things though to get it to actually record my screen. Now I gotta code a dumb Java project and record myself going through it and how it works. God, I hate this class.

Thank you! This was super helpful. I'm doing virtual classes and sometimes have to do prerecorded versions. This way of recording is super helpful and way better than the other options. And, as someone whose work and personal life are mostly outdoors and involve little use of technology, this was the step-by-step tutorial I needed!
@@yoboy69202 Hi, sorry, i said- If your screen capture is not working and you have a windows, then go in the graphics settings, browse and find the obs studio app and then in options check the power saving. Then it should work. Aleast worked for me.
Thanks! This video came in clutch. I do have one suggestion for screen recording though - I think it would be helpful to use the zoom in/out feature rather than full screen when clicking on items with small text (1:29, 2:30, etc)
With this works for me: For Windows 10 1909 or newer: Open Settings and search for "Graphics Settings". Select "Classic App" and browse to C:\Program Files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe (or wherever you have installed OBS). Click "Options" (example screenshot). If you want to use display capture to capture your screen / desktop, select "Power Saving". If you want to use game capture to capture a game or use the NVENC encoder, select "High Performance".

OBS studio been using gomcam 20 ms for recording small video clips or join if longer then you realize u have OBS record a whole Movie :) set timer go shopping BRB kitty 🐱

Jordan Hephzibah to record in ps4, just press the share button, and If u want to record ur microphone go to broadcasting settings, then audio settings turn on microphone if u want to do that, then when ur in game, double tap the share button to record, then double tap again to stop recording, recordings can be found by going into the capture gallery, and if u want to edit it ps4 has its own editing app called share factory but if u want to upload it u have to link your own account with ur RU-vid account

This is the 4th time I've looked this up and you zoned right on in. I was recording in minutes. Thank you! I tried a couple of different ways but this way just worked so quickly and easily. Now I can record my training videos and save time repeating the training over and over.
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm wondering can you also record your self (like when you're skyping in person?) and switch back to the desktop to record futher?
