How to Record Yourself and Your Screen at the Same Time

There are a few different options for how to record yourself and your screen at the same time, and in this video, I'll show you 5 easy ways to get the job done so that you can record your screen AND your face at the same time. This works for recording screencasts for RU-vid videos and some of these screen recording software options work for Livestreams too!

I've seen some tutorials where the speaker is not on a box, they have a transparent background around them and the person is superimposed upon the presentation screen. How is this done ? What recorder(s) have this feature ?

They’re either using a green screen or using software that gives that effect. Screenflow can do this and descript can do this. Not sure about the others

the only ittly bitty little problem with zoom is you can't "toggle" and have your meeting on, and a sound on another website at the same time. I want to use it to record me watching a game, but the problem with that is I can't hear the game when I have Zoom open. I'd need something like Discord or something like that, Oh maybe i can discord myself while watching the game, but i don't know how to save it....HMMMmmmm thank you for the insperation. I'll try to let you know if it works or not. but I need something to upload to Youtoube... I can't "pre record" a game because it's in the moment. Also I don't want to pend anything for it.

Sorry, 2.5 minutes of waffle before you start with the content was a little frustrating. Only because those first minutes really provided no additional knowledge to those already wanting to share vids/screens/face etc. Would suggest you look to getting straight to the point. I tuned out.

Hi! I usually use Zoom to record myself, but this last time, there was no audio for the recording in the mp4 file- I was not on mute, I tested the microphone on Zoom, my settings allow for Zoom to access the microphone, etc. but no matter what I do, I cannot get a recording to work with the audio!

I recently have been using Zoom to record my videos. For some reason, my laptop camera has the sound out of sync, so I started using Zoom for an easy way to record videos! It has been a life-changer for me.

I'm trying to do this with Zoom, exactly like shown, but on my final video file, the tab with my camera is directly on my screen share, not beside it. So when I have a presentation, any elements on the top right corner are hidden by the camera tab. Can this be fixed some how? Is it a setting?

😤😤😤Put a disclaimer that Camtasia watermarks all videos during the trial period. I'm using it to record my uni assignment and now with 6 hrs to submit I have to either submit with the bloody watermark or cough up AU$375. I don't have time to re-record my presentation and Camtasia doesn't even let you extract just the recordings you made to edit them else where.

I'm using Zoom for PC and there isn't the option to toggle between video and shared screen being the larger. Also the recording output has my face video side by side regardless of where I put it during the recording.

I've tried this with Zoom and when sharing my screen even if I put the picture of myself inside the window that is being recorded I do not see myself in the video, I see only the screen being shared.
