Happy Friday my friends. I wanted to step out of the kitchen to connect with you all to see how you are doing? Please let me know how I can use C&D to support you. Sending you all my cyber love + support. XO - Dani
Would you please do deviled egg judging tommrow go to stores buy the premade deviled eggs and judge them. Judge them on presentation taste and creativity also do it outside
I am trying so hard to lose weight, do exercise every single day, eat healthy but i can’t. Maybe it’s the stress (or maybe this is what causes me the stress in the first place) of this whole situation but I feel like nothing’s working for me. I feel like crying every day, staying in bed and sleep a lot.
You r SO SPOT ON. I think about all of the employees working at drugstores, grocery stores, trader Joe's, Aldi's, Wal-Mart, target and so many other retailers. It is because of them we can stock our own pantries and freezers. And lots of them r scared 2 death yet come 2 work anyway. I am mindful and supremely grateful 4 my health and mobility. And I do not take it 4 granted. Please everyone lets be supportive (and smart) as we navigate through this difficult time. Peace and love.
Thank you so much for this video, Dani. I work in mental health, and all of the things you said about sitting with out thoughts without putting energy into them is spot on. When my mind goes down the rabbit hole of panic or anxiety, I have to tell myself, "Thank you, mind." It's a way to acknowledge the thoughts (because we can't change our thoughts), and validate that they are there without giving it a ton of energy. When we tell ourselves that the thought we are having is bad, we then start to blame ourselves. If we look at a thought as something that just comes and goes, it's much easier not to judge it.
My anxiety was so bad that I had a panic attack and thought it was the virus. It hadn’t even occurred to me that I experienced a panic attack until two days later. I’m being cautious about everything but now I’m actively avoiding the news and reading it for only a couple minutes a day. Thanks for the helpful tips Dani!
A couple of days ago, I happened upon a youtube channel called, Cruising the Cut. It's about a fellow in England on a narrowboat. It's so incredibly calming to see the countryside, from the slow pace of his narrowboat.
I started having panic attacks a year ago and they are very hard to deal with. If someone hasn’t experience them they cannot understand the feeling. Hope you are feeling better. And yes its good to be informed by i too stay away from watching the news too much. Finding quite time a few mins everyday help.
Jessica Leyva exactly, they suck so bad. The first time I had one my husband thought I was having a heart attack. They have gotten better but this shit happening now don’t make it better.
This video is so needed given what has been happening around the world! ❤️ I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! I’m using this time to catch up on ALL of the RU-vid videos 😊
I had to stop watching the news. I'm only watching things that inspire me and make me smile. I'm also doing some simple diy projects that individually take a few hours. My home is clean and it feels good to be home with my family playing board games and just visiting. I've been cooking too. I'm also blessed to be working from home until this passes. That has been very strange because there is no separation. I still get up at the same time each morning get dressed as usual. I do feel like I'm working harder and longer but at the end of each workday I feel a huge sense of accomplishment but I feel worn out too. I learned how much technology has progressed. Microsoft Office 365 and MS Teams works so well and allows me to stay in contact with my colleagues.
You are so sweet and caring ! Thanks for all your tips. Praying and reading the Bible helps me cope because God cares for us and he gives us strength in theses times. Also yes going out to backyard and getting fresh air, taking care of my plants and having positive thoughts help. We can also spend some time in the kitchen and bake some yummy things lol
My cop friends taught me to do deep breathing exercises, it helps the body naturally calm down in stressful times; breath in slowly, as much as you can, hold it, slowly release. My EMT/ firefighter work isn't overwhelming at the time because I don't have time to process emotions, but afterwards, it really stills my mind to do these breathing exercises. Heck, we even use it when dealing with grumpy patients too!
You are the light we need now. Thank you for this video. I am a therapist and have been working hard to rework my entire business to allow for telehealth sessions for my clients (stress and worry) so your comments really hit home and were very soothing and reassuring to me. I am also a mom who cooks for a hungry family and have been challenged by this crisis with getting food on the table 24/7 since we are all eating at home for every meal. That’s a lot of food. Any tips and tricks for making filling nutritious meals that last and are also left-over friendly would be great. Also, I have produce but the chicken and beef are going to run out soon and I’m not too into going to the supermarket at this point. Would love to hear your thought about vegetarian meals. Thanks!!!
I have been trying for months now to find a psychiatrist or psychiatric NP in my area who takes my insurance, treats adults, and specializes in anything other than addictions. I’m in talk therapy with a psychologist and practice meditation, exercise, eat a healthy diet, but I think I need meds. What would help people with anxiety and depression more than anything is an adequate health care system.
Thank u dani, so true. I'm a medical provider going to work every day. It's been overwhelming but i and my colleagues put our heads down and keep going, until I get home and fall into the couch numb from it all...
Thank you for posting this. My wife runs a personal business for income, but I am primarily the worker as an admin staff in the medical field. I have hit a massive level of anxiety and stress that has become so bad I'm on the verge of anxiety attacks regularly for the last week. You kept things so personal and level that it made sense of the 'chaos' of what I have been feeling these past several months. I realize now that pouring all of your energy into something and allowing your mind to think fearfully and angrily will cause more problems, than solutions. I think I could watch this video over and over until it registers. My take away is.... Realize that you're in control of your actions, not the world around you Create routine, give your day structure Get up and do something, make it fun if you have to Stress doesn't have to control you, you can always distress and give yourself some time to feel okay Stay calm no matter what, most problems are not as bad as they seem Get support, even professional help if it gets bad Reflect, think ahead, and prepare...preparation is the key to feeling competent. Thanks for posting this!
Wow love this little summary, just that itself is super helpful 😅👏 We’ve been really into stoicism lately, it’s an Ancient Greek philosophy that is super practical and has great tips and tactics to reduce stress! It really helped us, so we highly recommend it! We also made a video about it on our channel if you ever want to check it out 😊
The most helpful RU-vid video I have seen on a food bloggers channel. Most of the others are just sharing videos about them panic buying and how to panic buy and honestly making everything worse
Thankyou so much for making sense about this.! Yes there are a lot of emotions and fears flying around with all of us .We all need to stick together and use common sense and be doing what's right for the health and well being for of all of us!!Thankyou!!🙂👍
Gosh, with all the reading I’ve done these past couple of weeks searching for some peace of mind, I really didn’t have to look that far after all. Dani, you covered everything I needed to hear...I’m actually crying right now finally feeling like I can organize all this stress in my head and be sensible about everything. Thank you SO much for this video! Gonna rewatch a few more times! You are an amazing soul!! 💗
A great one Dani! And let's not forget about how lucky we are that this happens in this day and age when there are phones to keep in touch, and the chance to see each other via different video call apps. As quilting celebrity Alex Anderson just said, it's not social distancing, but physical distancing as we can still keep in touch through social media. Be well!
Just 17 and dealing with stress and depression is tough. This affects my daily life so much I can't open up with anyone. Can't enjoy present moment. Can't keep up with my studies and other activities.. it's like my teenage phase is wasting and I can't help it . Adults find it very funny thinking how can someone so young can be depressed??? They don't understand fear of failure not keeping up with families expectations and constantly criticism can cause great damage to one's mind .. . even god can't help once mind becomes enemy.
Amazing video in putting everything into perspective. “Focus on things you can do”! Love this! I resonate with this so much at this time…… I love the way you describe the world around us and being under water. Finding quiet time is so important. Sometimes I just sit on my patio with a cup of water and just listen to the silence and stare into the sky.
I agree, love the video too, very informative. You can also check our video on “Is Stress Really a Choice?” at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5EmPdSS98Yo.html In this episode, you’ll discover what stress really is (and isn’t), what we can control and what we can’t. Plus we discuss the difference between healthy stress and unhealthy stress. We share 4 practical steps you can take to only ever have to experience healthy stress and chronic stress can become a thing of the past. This episode is for you if you’re experiencing any of the following: 1. Overthinking and/or Negative Thinking 2. Physical Illness and Tension 3. Depression and Anxiety 4. Poor Digestion and Low immunity 5. Fatigue and Lethargy 6. Trouble sleeping, Broken Sleep, Insomnia
Yes I am working on my stress level. I do have season allergy and trying my best to not sneeze in public 😷 You would not believe the looks I've been getting. Stay safe everyone
Agree! Limit media! And read entire articles, not just headlines on REPUTABLE sites. News stations make money off having people glued to the screen. Don’t give in.
These tips were very helpful and encouraging!👍🏻Prayer is also huge during a time like this.🙏🏻Always brings me comfort and peace! God is in control!🙌🏻🙌🏻Thanks so much for sharing this, Dani!
J G Reading the Bible would answer your question. We are in a *fallen world, this is why Christ died for our sin. Sickness and disease is not Gods fault. When man sinned, the earth became cursed.
Thank you very much for your ideas, Dani. Meditation and focus on your breathing every morning for 15 to 30 minutes. That what my husband and I are practicing. It helps a lot to focus to yourself and mind. Help other people when they need help. My two daughters music school closed for now, and they’re staying home with us so my son and cooking a lot every day. Cleaning and remodeling their room(finally). Be safe and be healthy everyone. Drink a lots of hot immunity tea. Love ❤️ your chanel. I’m your long time subscriber and use a lot of your healthy recipes. We will get through this situation together. Be strong!! Thank you again!💕🎶
Great tips, Dani! Thank you so much. Please do videos on healthy meals you can make with basic pantry staples. I feel like a lot of people could use that.
I've never heard facts being spitted out for like every second in a RU-vid video before, thank you for this! The message in this video is really powerful, I wish you and anyone who's reading this a ton of luck! God bless you all :D
It's easy to think that others have it all together in times of stress and anxiety. Thanks for sharing your story, perspective and tips! It was super helpful! We're all in this together... apart! LOL
Thank you so much for stepping out of your usual arena and expressing your rational and wise thoughts. Maybe videos on food storage to make supplies last longer and on using what you already have on hand to create meals. Annie, one of your devoted followers. 🤗
I work in security so I still have to go to work...we have guidelines we are following so all is good...I am looking at the bright side of things...for me at least I am benefiting on the low gas prices since I still have to commute to work every day, the less amount of traffic so I do get to leave home a bit later since I get to work faster with no traffic...At work, it has been nice and quiet since we have stayed at home orders so the downtime at work has been really nice...I live by myself but have family living through this back home and so my working is helping my family who has been affected with job loss but we are a creative family so we are all hanging in there and most important is STAYING SAFE AND STAY HOME AS MUCH AS NEEDED...this is a good time to research a new lifestyle, new diet, new home declutter or decor with what you already have, being resourceful...its not only fun but its great way to incorporate the kids...SENDING YOU AND YOUR HOME LOTS OF BLESSINGS AND PROTECTION...stay safe, stay healthy, stay strong and stay home everyone REMEMBER WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER AND WE WILL BE STRONGER WHEN WE UNITE :)
Hi, Being a mom plus a working women had made it really tough for me but then i had incorporated reiki which is a energy healing technique which helped me greatly release stress & i feel so much better now. Hope this info comes in handy to the readers.
My anxiety and stress are very high....your tips about fear really helped. Food wise...I would love to see recipes using canned foods as I am running out of my fresh fruits and veggies. For instance....I have three bag from Costco of dried bananas/strawberries and wonder....can I bake with these?
I just found this video two years after the pandemic but it still applies… Thank you so much and I am so excited to have found your channel! look at all these amazing cooking recipes!!! 😊💛😊🎉🎉
Dear Ms Dani. Your word of advice really, really helps. One of the best i've heard so far. Hope you can help us dishing up more easy, simple recipes with less ingredients needed. Many many thanks. 👍🙏❣🎂
I think my fav thing to do right now are doing stretches and deep breathing. It's never at the same time on a daily but it has helped me to relax. Early morning walks is also great. Not much people are out now so I like being by myself...outside 😄
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Love your videos ❤️ I would love to see videos about how to cook traditional pasta in a healthy way (packed with veggies and meat?) Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for these wonderful tips. I would love some videos on quick and easy meals that can be made with pantry items and/or frozen fruits and vegetables.
That's exactly what the media wants...panic. We got rid of that smut box 10 years ago and I dont miss it one bit. We even had 5 teens in the house at the time..they didnt complain at all!
This is an awesome video. Dani! It will help a lot of people! I’ve subscribed for awhile now and love your recipes (and when your kids help)! Sharing on fb and Twitter. Great quotes too! Making turmeric ginger honey bombs today!! Thanks!
The Bible says: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
This was encouraging! Thank you so much 💜 I would love to see new recipe videos for more comfort foods! That’s what I’m really craving right now, but prefer to eat healthier versions when possible 😋
Thanks for this Dani! Love you and your videos, recipes, the messages you promote! These tips really do help my anxiety. Also just made one of your older recipes this week (stuffed pepper soup). 2nd time making it and my boyfriend and I are loving it ❤️
Thanks Dani for this video. Some great ideas. If possible getting out into nature is very important for your mind and spirit. So far we are doing ok. we hope you and your family stay safe❤
Thank you for the amazing video and beautiful reminders! Everything you brought up has been the same things I have thought about this past couple of weeks. Just the confirmation I needed and in addition to switching to intuitive eating. Stay well and healthy!💖🙏
Thank you and bless you for giving us food for thought and delicious recipes on your platform. Stay safe and look forward to keep on seeing your videos.
Thank you so much for this! I just found your channel recently, but I'm so glad I did. These are all such good tips. I'm happy to find I've been doing a lot of these things already. :) But adding a few in never hurts! Be well!
Really excellent video with great advice! Thank you so much! Much appreciated! Many good wishes and good luck to everyone in the community watching your channel! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Good video as always. Something that comes to my mind is that at some point we have to wrap our heads around the idea that life happens and it is not a guarantee. While I do agree with most all of the measures that are being taken at this time, at some point we are going to have to stick our head out of the shell so to speak. Look at it this way, if we as a nation collectively stopped using automobiles for two weeks we would probably save many lives and even more lasting injuries, but at what price? Our sanity? Always look forward to your videos!
"life happens and it is not a guarantee" - THIS is everything, Lance. I agree, underneath it all... this is what it all boils down to on so many levels. Thanks for the share.
Thank you so much for sharing. I love your channel, and the healthy recipes. I found you when trying to find the perfect chicken salad recipe. Keep sharing and inspiring!!
I’m stuck with cleaning out my brother’s house, putting it up for sale. He suffered a massive stroke is in an Assisted Living also my 88 year old Dad, managing them. My husband is my hero! I have a brother in another state who doesn’t help us, can’t reach out to him. My church is all for the money! Strangers are more helpful!
I am watching this because about 4 months ago I completely lost my hunger. I dont even remember what being hungry feels like. I hate it. I have to make an effort everytime I eat.plus I am skinny and I need to grow up because I am 145 cm and weigh 36kg and I'm 16. I am desperate and I dont know what to do
Thank you for this great content, so many useful tips here. I was wondering if you could expound upon the daily routines that you find particularly helpful. I’m finding it hard right now to schedule my time in a productive way and am spending way too much time and energy checking news updates. If you could talk about some ideas for routines in an upcoming video that would be great. Thanks, stay safe!
