I'm in my 30s (undergoing lots of change) and feel this age range brings a lot of emotional maturity that just wasn't there in my 20s. I'm also the most confident and self-aware I've ever felt and with all those factors considered I absolutely agree the 30s are a great opportunity for others to reinvent themselves.
Brian great video I changed at 50 and if you think reinventing yourself at 30 is tough 50 was an upheaval and dramatic to say the least but worth every effort to ensure that the next phase of my life is on my terms Keep up the good work
Its like an advice from an elder brother! Thanks for such quality content :) Love the mix up of recent videos, refreshing and makes it a compleete package ! :)
Good timing for me! In just the last few days, I’ve started considering a major career change. (At 46!) This video was helpful in clarifying my thoughts. Thank you.
thank you for providing this video. I've been yearning to find other men that serve as strong and refined role models; I got that from you posting your knowledge. Thank you, again. I'll be back
Hey Brian, love your content. Could you do a video around fashion advice for shorter men (5"5' myself)? I like Modest Man, but I'd love to hear your guidance as I love your level of sophistication. Thank you!
Thanks for this video, as always, Brian. It’s nice to see you getting back into the swing of things with HSS. Though the outfit-related videos are my favorite, the variety you’ve been bringing lately has been refreshing. It’s like you’re reinventing yourself… 😉
Though I like the me I became from 2011 till about 2015, a lot has went down hill since. I was with somebody for the last 10 years that started bringing me down. So I am going to be going thru a separation soon and I will need to reinvent myself as well. I know the me I want to be and there is not a whole lot of change I need to make but I truly need to work on the confidence side. I have always been confident but sometimes people can put you down so much that you lose that confidence in yourself. And though I am normally strong enough to not let people bring me down, when you open yourself to somebody to experience joy, you also open yourself to being vulnerable. I look forward to my journey of rebuilding and becoming better. But for now comes the detachment part (property and kids) which will be very hard to handle mentally.
Loving the new background Brian! Great advice as well, I definitely did not think I'd be constantly picking up new roles through my 30s (husband, father, new job, immigrant, etc.) but it has helped me feel young! Except when my body doesn't feel like it did a decade ago 😫🥲😂. - Han
Hey Brian hope you are well! I've been following your channel and blog for many years now and I would like to give you some feedback with the best intentions. I personally don't particularly enjoy the recent turn in your channel, giving some general and vague advice about self improvement. Prefer the specific content about clothing, gentleman manners etc, I find it more helpful and enjoyable since your style is flawless. Hope you don't take this the wrong way, I wish you all the best!
Thanks for the feedback and for the way you approached it. Some people who complain about things here don't take the time to consider that perhaps I am more than their servant and that I "owe" them something. The fact is that I am an active duty soldier in the Army with 19 years of service and all the responsibility for people and things that comes with that level of seniority. Now that we are more or less getting back to "business as usual", that is a strain on my time. We are fitting in this content when we can, aiming to provide the best possible product every single time. In other words, this is not my one job. A nearly 15 minute video like this -- which I would not call "vague" -- takes a lot of time and effort to conceptualize, script, shoot, edit, and deliver. Additionally, we have been investing heavily in the website and bringing on fresh voices. I recommend checking it out if you haven't lately. And as far as self-improvement, what I will say is that feeling good and having more confidence is the "thing under the thing" when it comes to dressing well. I say it after the intro of most videos. It takes most people a long time to figure that out. But that's why this type of content goes hand in hand with style-related content. If I can rant as someone who has been in this industry for nearly a decade now.... I saw a post on Instagram from an older gentleman this morning showing off and bragging about an excessively expensive watch winder that was made "specially for him." This person wrote for me once or twice but eventually revealed himself to be a huge entitled snob. I can't stand that crap because it misses the point so completely about dressing well and appreciating quality. I always say that there are "look at me people" and "listen to me people" in this industry and it's pretty easy to tell who is who. Thanks for reading.
@@hespokestyle I apologize if my comment implied that these videos are not hard work or time consuming, I certainly don't believe anything close to that. Your content is always of the highest quality and anyone who says anything in the contrary is not paying attention. Agree with the part about self-improvement and it being the basis for dressing well and (see what I did there). Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Hey, Farid! Good to see you, as always. Yup, this will be the new "talking head" set. Will probably add some things in the background here and there but this was our MVP (most viable product) for this shoot!
I think the best way of reinventing yourself will be to make better investments to earn from multiple streams of income. This is what is life changing.
