Great video as always! Love your videos Brian. Totally not on topic of the video but I wanted to recommend a brand that in my opinion is awesome. I would love to see a review on Charles Tyrwhitt. They are famous for shirts but also have other clothing.

Brian, huge Star Wars fan here. Do you know about a character called "Grand Admiral Thrawn"? He is the most successful and well admired Fleet Admiral in the Empire. He emphasized on appearance, where Sith lord Sidious/Palaptine had a sinister, evil leader look and Darth Vader had the imposing fear look. Thrawn kept his appearance sharp which allowed his crew even though not well efficient to learn and grow, turning his crew into the famous 7th fleet. Having a sharp appearance counts.

And regarding dress even though I'm on Zoom meeting all day setting down and am mostly in shorts (I live in AZ) I always a nice Brooks Brother's dress shirt (I go with a polo on Friday) every day for work. Well, it would be very interesting to talk about gray beard (and hair) in 40+. The question is to make a camouflage or not if I don't want look much older than I am )) I know some guys look sexy and brutal with gray hair, but it's not about me, unfortunately ))

10 Be yourself is a dangerous advice. This would mean not improving yourself. There are people that are objectively not nice persons and they should change to a better theirself instead of being theirself.

I understand what you meant but I would say he was aiming something aling the lines of "Be comfortable with yourself". I am a Star Wars fan, so in a formal setting I would go on to make the first impression like Brian in his intro, something like this - "Have you ever wondered why the Empire in Star Wars has all the wealth? Sure the powers are great add ons but here is the real reasons why...." I go on to list out some corporate jargon. The thing is to be comfortable who you are. Agreed we all improve but being comfortable is where Brain was hitting at.

I try to keep to the three sevens. First 7 = First seven words you say. Second 7 = top seven inches of your head. (Smile, healthy skin, hair grooming and oral hygiene) Third 7 = bottom seven inches of your body. (Shoes, socks, and trousers length)

Yea...the interview by conversation is to fill in the gap whether the hiree is right or wrong....once you walk in the door they know. First impression is very important. I overdressed once for an interview and didn't get it. I can feel they're intimidated....and I also know when I sat down. So I just made friends with them....hihi

I’d say they know if they won’t hire you. One could make a good impression but still don’t have enough experience for the job. But if one is an asshole, no amount of experience will fix it.
