Same problem I'm having now, freakin' thing feels like it's welded with rust, won't budge. Tried the grippy thing for opening bottles that are stuck. Guess I'll have to go get some gorilla gloves or something that will grip easier.
@@Dixey3 your gonna want to use WD-40 with you non dominant hand holding the bowl and push it up so then when you spray the wd40 it actually goes in and then wait like 5 mins then go back and try twisting again but still twist hard and once you get it off use wd 40 on all the parts that are rusted and then don't tighten the parts on so tight when you put it back on so then it comes right off next time
The main screw came off easily, but I was surprised to find a very thin nut still holding up the glass dome. I am completely unable to get a grip on the nut with my fingers, and haven't been able to find a tool the right size. I suspect my kitchen will now be eternally in the dark.
Yeah I had to turn it so hard it flew across the room and broke in a million pieces. There are 6 more of these ridiculous lights in our house. Only managed to get one loose. One is in the ceiling of the front porch!!!
Ngl never done this before, I initially thought it was that bolt thing but just kept turning the glass but it worked pretty well. It's just a pain to put it back in
I’ve got the same light cover. I had to replace the light bulb in two different ones. I was able to remove the screw of the first and change the bulb, but on the second one, I keep unscrewing the screw but it won’t come out or unscrew? Any tips or help on how I could get the screw out to change the bulb?
My celling light is the same so i did it follow what you guided It really helped me ! Although i tried many times at first but it didnot work. Thank you ❤
@@Dixey3 thanks Brian for the good laugh after my late shift as janitor - I sure wish I was in the financially receiving end of the rubber glove business ... - have a great day, cheers!
I have the same kind and I CANNOT get the button on the bottom to move! I have tried tools, rubber jar opener, silicon mat that is supposed to open up difficult things, pliers, pipe wrench, ……I am at a total loss.
I was able to change the bulbs in my living n kitchen but yhe one in my bedroom is that stubborn.. I think it is rusted so I cannot move it.. any ideas anybody?
