nice to know with a much higher outbreak in many areas, when I was a kid in Texas living in a rural area on a farm we took a match after lite blew it out-touched the back of a tick or leeches did same in Vietnam they will back out the head and all the head some times gets infected sometimes you don't find them soon enough after they bite thank you

When i was young i had one in my foot my gramps used a match touched it to the tick and he backed out too but great advice thank you for all your wonderful information ❤

If you put iodine on a tick it will back itself out and you won't have to risk the head being stuck in your skin and also finger nail polish remover will do the samething

Should you keep the tick to test it for disease, whether it be Lyme disease 🦠, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, etc? Then perhaps you’d know if you’ve been exposed to a particular disease?

Very helpful, and hopefully that tick you removed doesn't carry Lyme disease.

i have problems with ticks on my dogs ear.

Why can’t we crush the tick after we take it out, as long as it’s wrapped up and not going to get goo on you?

I hate ticks! But the cayenne ticks (the tiny ones) are devils who came from Dante's Inferno. They are not only voracious creatures with a unquenchable thirst for blood, but they bite a lot of times and are hard to track due to their lilliputian size that allows them to hide in parts of our body that we can't reach the eyes to see. I was attacked by them 10 days ago. Feet, legs, torso, a bit of my arms... Almost every part of my body were took! Despite using histamine cream, it still itches in a miserable way that I don't want to my worst enemy. My mom visited a farm once and she came back to home with a lot of cayenne ticks bites on her body. She counted 300! TLDR: Ticks are awful! But the cayenne ones are no joke.

2:09 - Just curious.... Why not? I've never been that big on "Because I say so" - so, imagine we're all morons... what drawbacks exist? I gather pieces of crushed tick laying around is gross and a health concern.... but assuming that's the reason why doesn't mean I'm right....
