Thank you very much! The manual doesn’t help with this process at all. Your directions were very clear and easy to follow. Now we have a sparkling clean freezer area again!
My mom and I literally could not figure out how to do any of this before we found this video. Thank you so much for the very helpful instructions Clive!
Thank you, Clive. I needed to replace an evaporator motor and my model wasn't covered in the instructional video, so getting the door mounted bin off wasn't covered. Your video saved the day!
Clive, your video made my day yesterday! Samsung should put a link to your video on there instruction manual. The instruction manual was absolutely worthless in describing how to remove the drawers etc. Because of your video I cleaned my freezer which was a task long overdue. Thank you!
Thanks for making this. The frig repair guy left without putting back the freezer drawers and I was trying to put the main bin in backwards. Thanks for the demonstration and the sequence to put everything back.
Oh my goodness. I spent so much time trying to get the pizza drawer out to clean the freezer section. Your video SAVED THE DAY! Thank you so much for your excellent directions on how to do this. Thank you thank you!!! :)
Hey Clive - thank you for taking the time and effort to produce this excellent, easy to follow, video tutorial on how to properly removed the freezer drawers in the RF Series Samsung model. Unfortunately for me, I have an ice build-up beneath the drawers due to one leaving the freezer door slightly ajar. Time now to go to work to remove the ice. Thanks again.
Thank you! Needed to remove these trays to clean. I went to Samsung web site, and they only showed how to take out the very bottom bin - did not even address the Pizza Door at all. Called their text support, and they could not give the answer. They gave me a number to order parts, and they could not help. You nailed it! Thank you so much!
Clive... I can not thank you enough for posting this DIY video. Te only other video I could find was STILL a Samsung but was totally different in how the drawer came out. The model that you demonstrated here was NOT a 100% match... but yours provided clues as to how mine actually DID have to come apart. Great video... thanks again.
Thanks for the video & for getting right to the point. The part I needed was only 20s in and was explained and demonstrated well. You saved me from nearly breaking my shelf (using a method recommended by a different RU-vidr)
Incredibly helpful!!! Thanks so much!! Now I can clean all those parts and reassemble it. You saved the day! And YES, your video was WAY MORE HELPFUL and complete in getting all the drawers out of the freezer.
Really useful and easy to reproduce. I just uninstalled the drawer on the door. No idea why the designer puts this tiny drawer there. It is totally a waste.
THANK YOU CLIVE! That was very helpful. I had trouble removing the brackets (shown at 0:33)... we've had this fridge for about 9 years now, and the freezer has ice build-up almost once every 18-months. Very annoying. I wonder if other commentators who have had professional repairs done explain what was changed, it may be helpful to others. Anyhow, back to the freezer I go...
Thanks! Just moved into a new house with one of these Samsungs. This will make it easier to clean the shelves, plus, for some reason, the ice maker unit is missing. It will be much easier to install a new one with all the shelves out of the way. If I need to pull the entire freezer drawer completely out to mount the ice maker, do you know how to do that?
Thank you! I had an inch of ice on my freezer drawer floor and couldn’t get to it. 😢 My drawer was scraping ice every time I opened or closed it. Now it’s gone and the drawer works smoothly 😊🎉❤ lol
Than you so much for your easy tips video 👏🏻👏🏻 But if you could make a video for how to remove the external fridge door that is between the freezer and the original fridge please
Thank you for the useful info . I was wondering if you have any videos on how to remove the tray from the drawer right above the freezer on Samsung RF series. Appreciate your help
Thank you for the video. Something from my drawer ended up under it and I could not figure out how to get the bottom out. I knew there had to be a way. I think I can do this. Sadly I just filled the freezer so now it al has to come out. 😢
Great video and we were able to take everything out. But we can’t get the side tabs for the pizza draw back in. Just the left one went back in. Help! 😊
This may sound stupid but I can’t get the adjust to change on the baskets in the freezer. They are sitting at an even 50/50 but I was wondering if you could do a video showing how to move the baskets without taking the drawer out. Thanks!
Noticed on back bottom jaw drawer video skipped over after it was picked up and tilted... It didn't show you taking it out. Mine is still too big when tilted to pull out. So since your video skipped this tiny bit could you show how to do that?
Any idea where the freezer Reed switch is? My freezer light won’t turn on. It’s getting power and I replaced light. Only thing I can think of is the sensor is bad. But I don’t know where the sensor is located.
If you still can't get the damn drawer out... it's possible you had my problem: The damn freezer door wasn't opening all the way for ALL ITS LIFE... apparently it could open a whole 2 inches more but it was stuck for years. So try to really open it MORE.
What's the exact model # for the refrigerator in this video ? I'm having trouble tracking down 2 end brackets that have the angled grooves like shown at approx 0:49 in this clip. Thanks!
1st drawer removed.....anyone know part #? Bought new fridge and apparently this drawer is no longer included yet mounts are there. Need part #'s to order tray/drawer.
I think I just tracked it down ! I believe that he is working on a model # RF4287HARS - see another youtube video where they show the angled mounting end brackets: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0txRsqr71cc.html I believe necessary part #s are DA63-03459C , DA63-05386A , DA61-05847A , and DA61-05846A ... ordered at www.samsungparts.com
Clive, a question. My Samsung fridge isn't the same model but maybe you know the answer. The two freezer bins would never come out because the drawer wouldn't open the whole way. Until I saw your video, I didn't know they came out. When I checked the owner's manual, sure enough it shows they can be taken out. Got a new fridge, cleaning up and repairing the old one (water in bottom of crispers) , nothing I did would let the drawer come out fully. I finally took the whole door off, eight screws that are very tough to get at. I can build a computer, take the engine out of a car but I cannot see what the heck it stopping the rollers from getting to the end. There is an inch or so of track left but the wheels/rollers won't go that far. Any ideas?
haha, I do what you do. Fixing cars, building my own PC, and Hackintosh. We should have a lot of good subjects to talk about. OK, in your case, I think you can try to tilt one side of the drawer up (most likely the front side), or move the sliding piece to the far end. Hope that will work for you. By the way, sorry for the late reply. :(
Are you talking about the upper drawer? You have to remove the pizza drawer ( see 0:23). After removing the pizza drawer, you should be able to lift the upper draw. See around 1:00.
Don't know if I need to remove freezer parts. Drawer is not closing all the way--just enough for light to go out. Water has been coming out from beneath refrigerator a little each day. Do you know what I need to do?
Sorry for my late reply because I didn't check my channel. OK, I ran into a similar issue as you. Ice kept building up and caused the freezer draw to make cracking sound every time I opened the freezer door after this video. I finally figured out that the drain tube was frozen (Samsung did a poor design on the draining system) and block the melted water during the automatic de-ice process from dripping out of the refrigerator. Here is how you fix the problem: 1) remove the two draws and lower freezer door. 2) remove the plastic cover (only two screws) and disconnect two connectors. (I cannot find the video showing how to do that). 3) use a hairdryer to melt all the deposited ice. 4) pour some hot water to the drain hole at the lower center until water disappears from the drain hole I cannot find the video that I saw on RU-vid but the following video may help. This video is dealing with the same issue in the upper refrigeration area. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WsOPkJ9qD-w.html. The same principle applies to the lower freezer area. Here are videos that may help. 1) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h695XD04ZOY.html 2) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WhsAdnnIytg.html Good luck!
@@jmweaver15 Actually, my ice build-up happened after a 3-day power failure. Too much was ice melted and water was trapped in the drainpipe. When the power came back on, the trapped water in the drainpipe got frozen. More and more defrosted water during defrost cycles was trapped inside the freezer chamber and finally, it got ice build-up.
Iower freezer door was not closing all the way. I noticed some ice layer below the drawer. I was able to move everything and take out big chunk layer of ice. Door closes much better
Sorry for the late reply. For some reasons, I didn't get any notification from RU-vid when you left me a message. Have you removed the "Pizza drawer" first? You cannot remove the upper draw unless you remove the "Pizza" drawer first. For the bottom drawer, you have to lift the rear first then the front. Hope this help.
If you open the refrigerator doors you should have enough room to pull out the door...I was wondering the same thing...it was stuck, even without the pizza door
I have the RF series refrigerator but don't have a long narrow drawer or brackets on both sides in the freezer front. I finally removed the drawer that fits over the 2 section, bottom bin. I need help in re-installing this top shelf.
