Thanks for this! Could not figure out how to get the basket out. And thank you manufacturer for NOT including this in the user manual!! Can't imagine how many people broke their basket tracks thinking they could (should) just pull and lift the basket out.
I used to Google for service manuals, but now I RU-vid first. This is EXACTLY what I needed to deep clean my Whirlpool. Thank you! You can actually getteet the baskets out without removing the door, but access for complete cleaning is MUCH better with door off. Thanks especially for the tip on those screws which go in at 45 degrees or so.
Thank you so much for making my job a lot easier on bottom freezer door and basket removal. You took the time to make it very easy to understand all steps.
I agree with Robin. Super easy to follow instructions. Saved me a bunch of money for a service call just to replace the ice maker wire that I could not see to install without removing the drawers. Thank you Fixer. I came close to having a party in the freezer. 😀
You were right about those tabs being tricky. But it was exactly the piece of the puzzle I needed. I was actually trying to go under that tray because I couldn't figure it out and nearly got stuck.
Thank you for posting this. I found it really helpful, and helped me get my bottom fridge part cleaned. Which is why I wanted to find out how to remove the freezer doors.
Thank you so much for posting this. Am trying to switch out my ice maker and was fully stumped on how to get this top shelf out and I could not find instructions anywhere. I was this close to giving u[p and calling the professionals, thank you!
Thank you sir! Video was perfect for my little ice-maker adventure today. Problem - appears to be some water froze up in the rubber feeder tube. Couple minutes with a hair dryer thawed it enough for it to pop out. Back to makin ice!
Omg thank you!!!! Hubby is gone this morning and I wanted to clean freezer and your video worked like a charm! Thank you! I watched several that didn’t help me but you did!!! Thanks so much! Win for mama today!!!
Thanks for posting this. My Frigidaire was leaking water on the floor. I thought the problem would be in the inside panel at the back of the freezer. My door came off like yours. My baskets actually came out easier than yours. After all that work, l found that the problem was in the rear of the fridge. The drain tube end nipple was clogged. Oh well at least l saw all the guts of my fridge. Would not even have attempted it if it were not for your video. Thanks!
Thanks Paul. It makes me feel good to know my videos are helping people. I hope you had a chance to hit that Subscribe button - it's safe, no Spam here!
Beautiful! I had been in the freezer for a half hour w no luck removing the top basket. My wife suggested searching online. Your instructions are perfect- easy to follow and w good humor. :) Thank you!!
For the first time ever, I was able to get my baskets out so I could remove the freezer door and then remove the ice maker and clear out all the built up ice. Totally different fridge, but I’m grateful for the inspiration :)
Thanks so much for making and sharing this! my fridge is a KBRS22EvWH0 for others who are searching, My top basket doesn't NOT have the clips, but the front "stops" that are retained by the 45 degree 1/4" screws are the same. Also the bottom basket in my fridge will NOT lift out as yours did Until the top basket is released and unhooked from the center bottom slide. Door is identical. Thanks again! Very helpful!
Thanks Mr.Fixer your video was quite helpful ... but i have to take mine even further by removing the back panel to get to the fan so i'm wondering if you have a "part 2" lol here's hoping~
Removal of the lower door is the same for whirlpool but removing the baskets are different. The top tray slides off the rail when pushed towards the back of the fridge
Are the bearings easy to reinstall if for instance a kid pulled on the door so hard the bearing popped out and the part that holds the bearing is bent lightly?
I'm so glad my video made your day easier. If you haven't already, it's totally safe to hit the Subscribe button on my channel, no Spam, no email but you'll help me do more videos. Thanks!
ours kept leaking too. today I took the door off and racks and turned it off and put a header inside of it and it froze all the ice and unclogged the drain hole. took about 2-3 hrs cuz I wanted to make sure all the water drained down the hole completely
@@TheFixerofAllThings sorry, not directed at you. You had a great video. Sarcasm fail on my part. Should have added better emojis. 😂 Thanks for replying. (For others, I realized my mistake was using a screw driver and not a socket wrench when given the option… oops)
Swear I thought you were the guy who made|makes the videos on helping others save money 💰 or get government grants! He wears a jacket with a bunch of ❔️❓️❔️❓️ marks on them. He also sells books 📚. Can't think of his name 🤔. But that jacket is unforgettable 👌! Maybe related!? Fantastic video nonetheless 👏🏽!
I have an LG Model LFXC24726S do you know what the name of the smaller freezer basket is called, the one attached to the door? Mine broke and I'd like to replace it. If not, it's ok, I'll reach out to them tomorrow. Gratitude for your time.
