This video is more informative than the others. He actually shows how to release those tough pieces of plastic that won't budge. I hated Samsung with a passion after messing up that shelf with meat blood. No instructions in the manual, unnecessarily hard to take out/remove the glass, and if you have leaked liquid there, it goes into all tiny bits of crevices! Many thanks for this tutorial.

I have the large 31 cu ft fridge and it looks exactly like this. My son, a culinary student wanted to cook for us one night and placed meats in the fridge; which somehow bled all over the glass and even under this glass. 😅 Thank you for this video, the pdf instructions were vague and I was pressing on the clips in the wrong spot. This was just what the doctor ordered. The user manual was absolutely no help. I'm so glad that I was cautious enough to stop trying to pry off those tabs on top and look for help on RU-vid. Even when I found a video that told about squeezing together the tabs up front to remove the tray, it was not clear exactly where to press on those tabs, and it seemed like it just wasn't working. I kept looking and found this video, which cleared that up beautifully, and I was able to get it out without destroying anything. Thanks!

I feel like I watched a 132 videos of how to get that darn shelf out of the refrigerator and you are the very 1st one who pointed out that you have to press on that section under the tabs not those actual tabs and I spent 3 hours trying everything I could to press those blasted tabs! Great step by step instructions. To secure the back edge of the glass BEFORE you turn the shelf upside down to remove the corner clips, you can apply a couple short pieces of masking tape to hold the glass in place while you flip it back right side up!

Omg THANK YOU! I had the same problem. Something spilled and got under the glass. I couldn’t figure out how to get the glass out to clean it. Finally gave up and bought a silicone liner to cover it up, however, I knew what was underneath and it bothered me to no end. I looked through the manual and wasn’t able to find anything on how to do it, so I figured RU-vid has come to my rescue in the past, so why not search and see if I could find a solution there. Finding the right place to push the tabs in to get the shelf to release was the biggest problem. Kept pushing on what we thought were the tabs but they didn't budge at all. Finally, they broke off and then we realized (from your video) that it was the part under those tabs that you push in. Then it was a real bear to get the shelf out and put back in because the doors just didn't open quite far enough. Hope I never have to do that again!

So even when I removed the tabs the glass still wouldn't come off. I ran hot water over the glass, and it finally came apart (without breaking!) Oh my gosh thank you! I have had to do all my home repairs and such for years, but these silly plastic refrigerators and other Home Appliances baffle the crap out of me. I tear my refrigerator apart to clean it but there are areas that I just can't get totally clean so today I just looked up how to move my refrigerator because it's just me and your video popped up. Then I saw you had done something else about cleaning the dang glass shelves, Eureka someone who has accomplished something that I needed to know😊. I just went today to my best friend's house to fix her shower I fixed everything that I could trust me which was a lot but the shower head wand was leaking and I told her there is absolutely no way I can fix this it's a closed unit it has to be replaced. I was pretty darn proud of myself I've had no formal training I just watched my uncle in my cousin's and broke his snot fixed what I could around my house. Again thank you for the video

This was exactly what I needed. I tried for 30 mins based on two other videos to push the larger part in. One even had a guy that cut off the tabs. So easy once you know it’s the lower piece that pushes in on both sides.

I had not trouble removing the shelf and the glass with your instructions. The model we have didn't require screwdrivers to push the shelf tabs, I just pressed them with my fingers. Thank you!

Thank you sooo much. Watched Samsung's video that showed you merely had to press the tabs on either side of the water filter housing, and voila, you could remove the shelf. But as everyone on this page knows, it was a crock. Finally I called Samsung and spent 45 minutes on the phone with those folks. They could only tell me to press on the tabs like in their video. They finally gave me a link to a local Samsung repairman who wanted to charge me $400 to help with the problem. I went back to Google and found your video. You cannot know how much your video helped relieve this very frustrating moment. Thank you again!!!

The easiest method to remove the glass is to pop two white plastic clips, one at each inside corner on top of the glass. Get a screwdriver under the clip and twist it off. Once both tabs are removed, reach under the glass, push up and back towards the back of the frig. The glass is then free to remove. There is no need to remove or fiddle with the middle support assembly that houses the water filter. Pop two clips and you're done.
