Same. I actually came from a horse hoof cleaning video that I did not search up, only because a person commented that cleaning a horse's hoof was like shaving a coconut.
Thanks for the video. If you wait 30 mins to 45 mins after removing the coconut from the freezer (first method), then the shell will come off very easily. I regularly follow this method and is very effective
Looks pretty easy to do on video. I tried it, and I can assure you that takes a lot of effort and time to actually separate that black shell from the flesh, no matter which technique you follow.

in reality outer space is a hoax, earth is stationary curveless plane not a planet with a dome above us, earth is the ground and the dome is the ceiling above us, check out my playlist for censored videos, yes RU-vid and Google are coward cause they censor all real videos from search result and they spread misinformation so nobody take it seriously, they don't want you to wake up.
I am a 9 year old boy and I used the second method I totally recommend it and shared it with friends because here in Hawaii there Are millions of coconuts
Coconuts are mean! Coconut are warriors, coconuts are ninjas. That’s what the japanese wanted in ww2, to enroll coconuts for their emperor and fight together
Nothing reminded me of that ease you've done it with. :)) The only thing I did easily - froze the nut. My wooden board was first to crack and I started to worry for my concrete floor. After smashing over the ridges, points, and all over the surface, the shell yielded a single crack in halves. My neighbours are lucky that my everyday meal doesn't depend on coconuts.
I'm making fresh coconut milk this evening and these lil' methods are so helpful. I tend to make everything so complicated when it's really simple. Both methods are dope. I'm curious to try the second one first though.
WHOAAAAAA...I've never seen either method! I prefer the *2nd* way to get 'em open because I like eating the coconut with the skin on it. Thx for posting!
i never really liked coconut until i lived in Hawaii for 9 months. coconut grows wild there and you can just pick them up off the ground. and now i love them. chilled coconut water right out of a coconut is so refreshing and delicious. its also very healthy
Yes Our indian mothers do no rituals. Pick the bloody nut in one hand and hit on the edge of a big stone or a footstep edge, with no funny music and explanation go BANG. The nut cracks Pour the leaking water And A second PLOP Its in 2 perfect 2 parts. Hahaha
I'm so sorry about those who have to go run out and buy coconuts. In the Bahamas where I live, you go out in your yard or across to the neighbours' yard or down the street to the many community trees. Island life is the best! Now I have got to try the freezer method! Amazing!
@Mickey Mouse oh wow...really? You're triggered over coconuts?!...and contrary to the crap you just said, we have never, ever had a tsunami in the Bahamas. People don't get swept away while picking coconuts! Geezus!
Use the same method, use minus screw driver. To make it easier cut the coconut into 1/4, hard shell face table hold it still, carefull with your hand when holding the coconut. Sory for my bad english, that's how granny in my country did it...
Wow thanks so much, I saw 2 videos before this one and I didn't like them, because one stated to.cook the coconut and the other just cracked it. I love this one because I can drink the coconut milk and eat the actual coconut. Thanks so much !!
Now after blooding my hand all up with a kitchen knife trying to get the meat out, I decide to RU-vid "How to remove Coconut meat from the shell" and watched this great video! I will certainly be doing my second Coconut like this! Many Thanks!!!
Very much, I do that quite often. Just remember to wait for 30 mins or so after taking out the nut from the freezer. That way the shell will come off easily and the shredding will be more effective
This is pretty good, but, I think it is better to drain the coconut first, because the water turns to slush, and makes a mess when the kernel cracks open. Secondly, it may be worth trying this: soak the whole coconut in water for several hours before refrigeration. The water in the shell will turn to ice, and make the shell even more brittle. Try it?
Hi guys, I put two holes in the coconut and drank the milk. Then I put it for 12 hours in the freezer, after that I waited 30min and then hit the coconut several times with a hammer. I didn't force it with a screwdriver cause I noticed it will also destroy the flesh of the coconut. I only used the screwdriver when the shell sticks out of the coconut flesh after hammering it. But using the hammer the most shell jumps of very easily. When dark skin remains, use a potato peeler, works perfectly. Good luck! 😉
People are fkin ungrateful. Came to see how to open. 1st method is absolutely awesome. Perhaps people who cannot afford the freezer thumb you down? I've got 2 sitting in a freezer now and will use the method to entertain my little boy tomorrow. Thank you and thumb up.
@@addyybrown4661 I isn't nonsense, unless you're a moron because then it will seem like nonsense (just like EVERYTHING else LOL), and it doesn't change the consistency, try it instead of trying to be a know-it-all. :-)
Oh wow. I only knew about the second method. I can't wait to try the first method. Since it would be great to completely separate the flesh from the shell before I start sinking my teeth into it.
@@randyreynolds4252 even in 2nd there was very little water. in raw fresh coconuts u easily get half liter water and as it becomes old the flesh thickens and there is hardly/no water left
You wipe it with water? And then fall it on the ground? And then it is divided into two parts and along the water circle? How can you do that??? I am very confused...
