Hi, I have same Ford Car (Ford Fiesta 2006) and same speedo meter clock. Recently, half of the speedometer light was blinking and then went off. All other light works, only speedometer light from middle (70km) to rest doesn't work. Please advice me what might be the problem, any light bulb or anything els. Thanks.
Russell hi, as you May be aware without looking and diagnosing myself I’m unable to tell you exactly what’s wrong but it sounds like a bulb has gone these are on the motherboard and can be picked up extremely cheap from eBay, hope I could help also please like subscribe and share Thank you
Such a great video for replacing speedometer. However, if the speedometer is replaced with a new one what will the readings be on the new one? Will it still memorise the 74000km ?
I have malfunction of THE center screen. This part is not something you fan get separately. If i will buy the whole set and replace it will it work plug and play or will it need coding?
Disassemble your meter and have a look at the centre screen it may be a faulty connect with the board itself however if the screen is done the replacement lcd with just swap in place with the other malfunction one these are not coded and will show the data which is stored in the boards chips etc (I’m assuming the middle screen your referring to is just the lcd display)
@@carhelpforyou5650 thanks, it is exactly what is my problem. I will check the connection but it is all i can do by myself. If i understood you correctly placing the whole meter will result in showing data of my car, not the donor?
Hi, yes the older cars speedo metre doesn’t need programming the immobiliser new cars do so the older cars will start up with speedo change however majority new cars will need to be coded
@@owenaquilina5001 it’s hard to give a step by step guide as each car uses different firmware so Audi vw Skoda seat vagcom can be done using VCDS other cars via other softwares now it’s not a easy method or a method that is to be messed with but Alam it all car key locksmiths can do this for you the price would depend on their charge rate and the car itself
