You don't need a sledge hammer to remove most cabinets. They come apart pretty easy with just a drill!
Always wear your personal protective equipment and work safely!

Sometimes you need a sledgehammer. My house was built in 1973, and all my cabinets are nailed to the wall. I'm demoing this weekend to install new ones.

I've ripped out lots of old built ins and didn't need a sledge but to eat his own. Have fun!

Sledgehammer is necessary for mine too. They are 50 years old and the screws are ruined
@BrentDarlington
@BrentDarlington Год назад
@mhairihenderson7241 use a crow bar, flat bar, framing hammer. Sledgehammer makes too much of a mess and can damage the walls. They are heavy too, so more work. Save your energy.

@@BrentDarlingtonI’m preparing to remove original 1950’s birch cabinets from a house and I’m hoping and praying they don’t get destroyed, because I actually really like them and want to reuse them in a different space!! Advice appreciated!

Thanks, Bud. I was about to build an entire structure to support them while I remove them. I didn’t know you could do it in tiny sections. Yes, I am dumb. Have a good one🎉

whats the easiest way to remove cabinet where the sink is at with all the plumbing and is install of new cabinet easy or do many holes need to be drilled in back of it first?
@BrentDarlington
@BrentDarlington 9 месяцев назад
No easy way. May have to cut it up to get it out. New cabinet will probably need holes. You'll also have to disconnect and reconnect plumbing.

I watched this then removed an upper cabinet with a regular screwdriver in less than a half hour. My kitchen bid wants 16 hrs to demolish 15 cabinets!

If it's an old kitchen it may be built in and may have used nails. The nails may have been painted over
