If the video was helpful, remember to give it a thumbs up ! It is possible, after removing the pump, to open it and check the pressure at the turbine outlet. I explain it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EwlFbqw0ul4.html Good DIY ! 😉
Thank god for the first time. A proper n professional n non buls video which u can actually understand and is informative. Great work buddy do more videos
This is a very good step-by-step tutorial. But PSE stands not for Pneumatic System Equipment. Its short for the german phrase "Pneumatische SteuerEinheit" which means "pneumatic control unit".
Hi ! Check other pneumatic functions (trunk opening and closing, lumbar cushion). If they do not work, the problem is with the PSE pump. If they do work, then the problem is the locking function. There are many possible causes of the problem. The first thing to check is whether the lock/unlock buttons on the dashboard, next to the hazard switch, are functioning properly. If they work, then the problem is your key or the radio receiver. Try another key. In short, proceed by elimination. Good luck ! 😉
@@IfixmyBenz thank you. I already disassembled PSE. Motor burned out. Overheat signes on the plastic PSE cover. Next step will be to check if what was the reason of high temperature: motor or pump. Lot of fun 😀
Hi, my s320's battery is flat so cannot open the boot. The metal key does not work either, I don't know why. I suspect it could be the vaccum funciton pulling the boot shut, thats why I came here to find the location of the PSE pump. THen I see that the PSE pump is in the boot... that I can't get into..... lol Any ideas what I can do? I've looked at trying to find a way to jump the battery or give it enough juice for the remote key or button release to unlock the boot but I've tried few methods that don;'t match what I see for my s320 e.g. the passenger foot panel doens't have a cable that some models have to allow a jump. Note: your video is very high quality and can see all the bits clearly and informative
Hi ! The use of jumper cables under the passenger foot panel was indeed a good idea. Anyway, you should be able to get by with the metal key. However, its use is a bit confusing... It can be inserted both ways but only one way works ! Furthermore, once inserted the right way, it can be turned both ways, but only one way will open the trunk ! I suggest you look carefully at the direction I insert the metal key and the direction I turn it in the video. 😉
@@duge4268 The lock or the mechanical opening mechanism is probably a bit seized up. This can happen after a few years, because the metal key is hardly ever used. First check whether the push-button is not already blocked, pressed upwards, before the metal key is inserted. This sometimes happens. Then lubricate the lock with WD40 using the small hose supplied. Then insert and turn the key several times. If it still doesn't work, I would try removing the license plate light to see if it is possible to lubricate the mechanical opening mechanism by passing the WD40 hose. I've never done this but it might be worth a try. The mechanical opening mechanism operates a long metal rod connected to the trunk latch located below. Good luck ! 🤞
Hello ! Yes ! When the pump rotor is broken it usually prevents the motor from running and the fuse blows immediately when you put a new one in. This is the most common failure (see this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EwlFbqw0ul4.html). However, you may have a short circuit somewhere or a blown motor and this would also blow the fuse, but this is much rarer because this pump is designed to electronically stop a function when the motor runs too long to prevent it from blowing.
You probably dont care but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Nicolas Abraham thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Hello ! To begin with, sit in your vehicle and close the door to isolate yourself from outside noise. Check whether you can hear the pump running when you operate the central locking with your key. If not, check the electrical connectors connected to the pump...
My motor is working just fine but I believe I have a leak in one of the lines, how do I remove each hose separately? I don’t want to accidentally break them, do I need to squeeze anything and pull it out? Or do I need a special tool?
Hi ! To disconnect a pneumatic line on the pump side, simply operate the tab located in the hole where the pneumatic line is inserted. No special tools needed ! 😉
I have a 2002 Mercedes S55 AMG with 170K miles. After I replace my suspension and PSE pump does the dealer need to re flash it with their software? Thanks
Hello ! If this pump has been removed, the door will not lock with your key fob. To lock the door, you will simply need to use the metal key (pull the metal key out of your key fob). 😉
@@IfixmyBenz yes I just unlocked it but after leaving in my car for a while a fuse got burn and my pump was fried, so I return it and another one was given to me after I plugged it in it doesn’t even click or power on at all and yes I’ve replaced the burn fuse. And again I test all the fuss in the back sit downward fuse box all fuse are powered but nothing powered up the vacuum pump I got please what can I do
@@adamtaliat6139 Check the large electrical connector connected to the pump for corrosion or other damage, and make sure you have power at this connector. Is your replacement pump brand new? if so, programming is required.
@@IfixmyBenz where do I find the connector and the pump isn’t brand new it’s a used one and why I knew they was no power in the connector it’s because the pump doesn’t click a sound of spoil or good it makes no sounds and I test it with the one that came with the car still no sounds which it doesn’t makes sounds before
@@IfixmyBenz and I use a tested to test the back sit fuse and also the sucket clip connected to the vacuum I could only found power in one of the wire mouth which is the one with red color only the rest have no vol
If you install a brand new pump, programming using STAR is necessary after installation according to the vehicle options ! If you install a used pump, you must ensure that it comes from a vehicle identical to yours if you do not want to have to reprogram it. If you reinstall YOUR pump after repair, no programming is necessary. It's just plug-and-play !
@@MagmaMorph, If you replace only the motor, no programming is necessary. However, be careful to use an identical motor because the output air flow rate must remain exactly the same. Indeed, the pump uses the operating time of the motor to detect a system malfunction.
Hello ! Be careful, if you install a brand new pump, a programming with STAR is necessary ! And it is not a simple fault clearing. This is why it is better to repair your pump and then reinstall it in your vehicle after repair. In this case, it's just plug and play ! 😉
I fix my Benz Hi thank you for reply! Can i ask how about used second hand pump?stil the same?i have star diagnostic..how to program the new pump?regards
@@sebastianmiczulski187 If you want to replace your pump with a used one, you should choose a pump from a vehicle with exactly the same options as yours, so you won't have to reprogram it.
