FYI: It is possible to remove all the pieces inside and install the hole covers without removing the back of the seat! I have not done this, but many people have told me this is possible.
I watched this video 4 days ago, ordered the same day, received the covers today (black and match well), and removed my screens. My teenage daughters use their phones, not the screens and were always ornery because they a) couldn't see or b) the sun was bouncing off the screen in their eyes or onto their phone screen. 1st world problems to be sure, but these covers have made everyone in my family happier when we travel.
Great video and replacement parts! Everything worked exactly as the video describes. I have a 2024 Yukon Denali and the only difference was the passenger screen had two wires (each with a clip) attached. If anyone knows where to sell new, never been used screens let me know. One is cracked the other is clean, both have all hardware from the video on them.
Great instructions! I havea 2023 Denali Ultimate so a few modifications. The first seat took about an hour and the second, around ten minutes. I would definitely recommend removing the rear seat entertainment if you have car seats in the back of your truck. I also removed the fuse, 45, in the engine compartment. The only real nuance with the 2023 Denali was no zipper, GREAT!, but finding the metallic clasp that held the back seat cover to the seat frame. I'll try to post pictures if anyone finds it valuable. @@samwinemiller1974 I found a replacement glass screen on eBay and was able to replace it myself with the help of this video. The only part that was tricky was the original glass screen is glued to the plastic casing so it required goo gone and patience to get it off.
We cracked a screen in our 21 yukon too. Called the dealer and they replaced it free. Apparently, GMC is offering 1 screen replacement to owners bc they are cracking too easily?
Where are you located? Did the dealer provide you with a receipt and/or indication of the TSB, code, dealer callout (or whatever) I can reference when I call my dealer?
@@ebnflow3 I'm in Miami, FL. Although I didn't buy my Yukon from them, I called Williamson Automotive to get a quote and when I told them that the screen was cracked, they're the ones that told me GMC was replacing up to 1 cracked screen free of charge...I checked my service order invoice, which states: "3423420 VIDEO DISPLAY REPLACEMENT". However, I'm not sure if that's the part number. Good luck!
Are the screens/mounts the exact same per driver/passenger seat? My screens look crooked and easily seen comparing to the top of the headrests. and thinking they installed them on the wrong seats from the factory.
I'm not entirely sure. I attempted to contact the lawyer who seems to be organizing, but never got a response back, so I decided to solve the problem myself by creating this cover!

I removed only one bc it was cracked but left the other one that’s not cracked installed but now it’s not working. Are the connected somehow - so by removing one the other won’t work?
Interesting. I see your accountant was from a couple days ago, has it started working yet? Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a couple hours and then reconnect it. What year make and model is your vehicle? I ran one screen on my 2022 Yukon XL for a long time without any problems
No I never did. Tried disconnecting battery etc but it didn’t work. So the screen that didn’t need replacing - now no longer comes on. Let me know if you figure it out.

To remove the screen, the instructions are perfect but I’m not sure if the cover piece is large enough, I have not tried that I replaced the broken screen. Due to car seats cracking them. Such a poorly thought out design.

I do not have one, but you should be able to follow these removal steps in reverse to replace with another screen. Were you able to purchase another screen from a dealer or someplace?
Yeah eBay sells them. Replacing just the screen is pure hell. You have to disassemble all the old screen components unless you buy the screen with the whole board and module attached. Also contacted gm. passenger side has been discontinued and and driver side is back ordered with no time frame. So the screen only replacement is the only option. Takes about 2 hours per screen.
