Wow good to see! In pouting down rain and wet roads I couldn’t miss a five gallon paint bucket on the road other than hitting the bucket itself. Made my car a mess on the passenger side! Excited to use this and get it off! Black car..white paint ugh!
@@estk88 hi..yes..washed the car then opened the product..clumsy me dropped it and broke the lid..ugh! It removed most of it thankfully the largest parts. There are still some small areas. Winter now here in Ohio so I’m hoping those areas will still be able to be removed when it’s warm weather again.
Also watched this video first. As a part time detailer, I worked on an Acura MDX (black) it had yellow road paint splattered on the doors. I attacked with a clay bar and clay lubricant. Paint came off very well! Then I used a multi surface cleaner to take care of the rest of the clay residue. Count on this to take care of it. Paint was on the car for about 2 weeks. I personally wouldn’t bother with the butter wet wax. Obviously clean the car surface before adding other products.
Got the yellow road paint twice - took my car to two reputable detailers, who tried various things including paint remover. Nothing worked. I will try the clay bar and Butter Wet Wax. Thank you for the information.
Saw this video, bought some Butter Wet Wax, applied as in video...zero results for removing paint. Maybe its the type of paint that was spattered on my vehicle. Extra elbow grease applied, extra time leaving the wax on it...did not help
Hey quick question you said this was easy to get off paint. What if you have yellow road paint? It seemed like you said use claybar, but do you start with claybar? what is the method? I know youd still clean everything first but the yellow road paint is much more tough and textured. Help much appreciated
Will the Butter wet wax remove a touch up paint I bought from the Toyota dealership and applied to very small ping nicks on the hood of my car. The touch paint came in a glass vile with dip type brush like a finger nail brush on product. The Color Did Not Match the color of the vehicle. What can I do……or should a professional remove the touch up paint. ? The touch up paint is a clear coat product, not water soluble.
Great video. I’m getting one now lol. Quick question, You mentioned it can be used on chrome or glossy rims, is it ok to use it on matte finish rims? Thx
"This is A Great Video Nick " I Have A Question Will This Work On Small and Big pieces of Road Tar Stuck Around The Fender Would I Have To Use A lot To Soften it and Remove it?...
Hey! We recommend Bug & Tar Remover, it quickly breaks down bugs and tar to save exterior surfaces from permanent damage caused by corrosive insects and swirling and scratching caused by intense scrubbing during washing. www.chemicalguys.com/bug-tar-remover-heavy-duty-car-wash-shampoo/bug-and-tar-wash.html
Hey! Remove paint splatter from plastic and rubber trim requires scrubbing with a degreaser or all purpose cleaner such as All Clean. www.chemicalguys.com/allclean-degreaser/CLD_101_16.html
would it be ok to use this butter wet wax on a matte finish? my motorcycle got stolen and they painted it black ( white originally) and bike was recovered. im trying to clean it off myself instead of send it to be coated/painted. $$$. thank you!
Hi there! Using Butter Wet Wax will remove spray paint as well as over spray but machine polishing with a compound may be more effective in restoring the OEM finish.

I just recently saw this very vid and ordered the butter wax with much hope. Tried it on my black Lexus trying to remove yellow road paint splatter that’s been on there for over a year and unfortunately it didn’t work. Reading through the comments you had mentioned medium clay bar first? Would that maybe work?
Hi there! The composition of road paint can make it difficult to remove after it has cured. Butter Wet Wax is the least aggressive approach however a clay bar or even polishing may be necessary to restore shine.
Any results you can report? It would be nice to hear from people who actually tried this based on the video to find out how it went for them. Thanks a lot.
Hi I JUST saw you video and before watching it, I have scratched the glossy coat on my Toyota Sienna. Once I used the Butter Wet Wax, how can I rectify the dullness on my car? Thanks in advance!
@@ChemicalGuys Thanks, hopefully cutting & polish would remove that yellow paint however I have used Butter Wet Wax on different paint contemination and it works good also gives the car nice shiny look.
Hi there! The natural cleaning oils of Butter Wet Wax can still be used to remove overspray and paint transfer or machine polishing with a compound is necessary for stains and etching.
