Vindel Auto Repair, We do not know why the airbag light is on unless the airbag system is scanned. We would recommend scanning the airbag system with a scan tool to read the diagnostic trouble code. Once you have the trouble code, you can reply to us here. We can help point you in the right direction.

Hey hopefully u guys see this comment. Acura 2015 TLX, only the driver side airbag deployed and i need the module reset. If i remove mine and send it to u and there are no hardware issues, do i just put back into the car or would there need to be any extra programming done? Thank you

Hello, I have the same car in the video.Airbag light is on from minor accident. The airbag in the passenger seat and curtain side airbag were deployed. I do not know if the seatbelt is damaged or if the crash sensors are damaged. I would like to get it back on the road without worrying about non-deployed airbag in the event of future collision. What are you suggestions please? Thanks

If your vehicle was in an accident then the airbag control module will have crash history and crash codes. You can get airbag control module reset at MyAirbags.com. For the airbags you can get them used at car-parts.com. Impact sensors are usually okay, unless you get a code to replace them when you scan then the system with a diagnostic scan tool. Seat belts usually will be locked or the internal sensor will be burnt. We can rebuild seat belts as well. I have a 2012 TL with the airbag issue. Will this airbag notification cause the chime sound inside the car to be activated? The chime sound on the instrument cluster area is very disgusting as though the seat belt isn't latched and it goes on until you turn off the engine. Could a bad airbag module activate this alarm?

Yes, that is common. If you changed the passenger seat, just transfer all the computers from the old seat to the new seat and disconnect the battery for 3 minutes and reconnect it.

i stripped the t30 on the passenger side and driver side is so hard LOL. why are they so difficult and why couldnt they just run 10 ml's :(

Asif, Thank you for your feedback! Try to scan your airbag system with scan tool / scanner through the OBDII port. It should give you trouble codes. You can reply to us here and we can help narrow down the problem(s).

Doesn't Acura require replacement of the controller in the event of an accident? You can reset the module, but the Manufacturer says not to.

Yes you are absolutely right. Manufacturer and dealership wants you to replace the airbag control module after vehicle was in an accident, because they want you to buy a new part from them. Also, not all manufacturers recommend that you replace it. For example BMW and Mercedes have the ability for the dealership to clear crash codes, so dealership can make money in the service department. MyAirbags.com can also clear all crash codes and crash history. Because airbag control module is like a black box that records accident data. After that data is cleared then it is back to normal.

@@MyAirbags Are you suggesting that the replacement of the module is 100% about the sale of the new part and 0% about the safety system operating correctly in the event of another crash? In my professional capacity, I have responded to car accidents where air bags didn't deploy and always wondered why that might be the case.

@@battphone @Mike B yes exactly what we are suggesting. Regarding airbags that should have deployed when they did not. There is an algorithm that is built into the SRS system to deploy only when needed, like deploying front airbags at font impact at speeds over 35 mph. You are right about cases where airbags should have deployed when they did not and it usually happened to GM vehicles. Also GM had a recall regarding airbags deploying by themselves as you are driving. GM even has DTC codes for that reason B0051 and B0052, these codes are really for airbags should have deployed and they did not. It really has nothing to do with crash data being cleared. Manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes know this and they allow their airbag controls modules to be able to be cleared of crash data history for up to at least 3 times. This is is the same thing that MyAirbags does.

I think the company is a scam. They hang up when you call and hang up when they return a call and they do not answer emails. Sounds like a scam. I tried with them and got no where

I sent mine and I though it was a scam to but no everything went fine I put it back and it erased the light. I will be back on here if the light does come back on within a year
