If you are asking about the spring on the end of the cable that engages the blades it should have a step on the end of it like a bit of a Z shape. There is a small hole in the moveable pulley arm where the z bit goes. Put that in there before you slide the deck fully back under. You can see what you are doing if it’s only 3/4 the way under. Then put the cable in the vertical guide with the split pin. Then slide it fully back under and hook up all the other linkages. I show the z hook at 6:02. It goes into the idler pulley that tensions the deck belt. I hope that explains it better. Let me know how you go.
