Thanks for this video. I'm a new MBZ owner and have had BMWs only in the past. I have a fully restored 88 M5 now. I just got a 2006 SL55 AMG and will be learning a lot about this car starting now. I have always been impressed with the elegant central air locking system but I know it can be a PITA to trouble shoot. I have located the pump in my trunk. My issue is the center console and right rear compartment behind the seat are staying locked and not opening. All other compartments including doors/truck etc. are fine. I can hear air hissing inside the console so I'm hoping the vacuum line just got disconnected or is leaking. I just can't in there. The previous owner had an iPod adapter/system installed in the compartment and the techs who installed it may have pinched or damaged a line. Any tips on how to access a locked compartment? Thanks,
Thanks, now we know where the pump located; does it have a fuse / relay for power. From what I understand it's under the rear passenger seat (Right side) or in the trunk (left side). My 2002 S 430 was perfect, I took the vehicle in for window tinting and when they were done the door locks and soft close feature didn't work AT ALL !!! No sound or movement at all. Earlier, they were trying to get me to let them repair my rear driver side window. (Sometimes it won't go up or down) I think they may have done something to my system to create an issue for me to allow them to fix both for a fee. Can you give me some pointers or point me in the right direction to begin a check or repair myself.
Hi my car stopped locking via key fob over night? Why is this? Its a CL55 and suddenly the key doesn’t lock the car and only locks via dashboard button when you drive but nothing when you press the key button? Also this has made the stereo stop working!? All I did was replace the CD changer and this all happened! Rear headrests still work via button, so does left passenger soft close feature how would it be the pump? You
hello, i have a 1999 s500 mercedes with inflatable seats. the doors and the "soft close" safe are working but not the seats. My garage mercedes told me that the pump 220800124864 is defective and it is to replace (Stardiag). If I find exactly this reference in a used part, is it necessary to program it so that it works in my car? Thank you

I am replacing this vacuum pump actuator unit for my 2005 CL500 with a used unit I found on Ebay... Assuming this unit works properly, will it work immediately (i.e. plug & play)??? Or will I have to still take it to the dealer for coding or programming???
@@MercedesBenzTechs are you sure? i want to buy one off ebay but the seller warns the buyer that you need to reprogram the pump so it doesnt run excessively and overheat?
Andrew Nguyen it’s plug and play, no programming needed, if it runs too hot and too long you have a leak in the system, check driver door actuator or trunk actuator, they usually go bad
@@MercedesBenzTechs thanks for the quick response, i will keep that in mind.... mind if i tell you what im dealing with real quick, maybe you can help me out... so i bought a 2001 s500 and the trunk button on the fob and on the door wouldnt open the trunk and at first the first two front locks would open only when i would unlock the car with the fob... now the car reads the fob and lights blink when i press the unlock button but they do not open any of the locks or doors or lower the rear headrests.... my 20A yellow fuse keeps blowing under the rear back seat fusebox and once i replace it i can hear the pump working in a cycle order... not a steady sound but a " hum hum hum hum hum" and eventually the fuse blows again... now my question is, is the pump supposed to sound like that or it should be a steady humming sound? however my fuse keeps blowing eventually. just gets really hot and goes out. i would appreciate any help thank you
1997 420 one owner/thank you I'm completely lock out the computer and vacuum line has been sitting with out power now even aaa lock smith could not get in even after popping locks
tisoy909 test it for what? At the shop we gave a computer that we connect to the OBD and we can actuate it but what are the symptoms that you are having?
Mercedes Benz Techs Test them for proper operation. I am pulling these units from parts cars and would like to test them before resale. I need to test them off the vehicle.
Hi sir, I have a 2009 cl 500, the issue is, the seat dynamic pump for massaging and other functions are working properly, till I disconnect the green hose going to the reservoir tank, it works for few hours then stops, I do this every time to make it work, you know how hard it is to open the decorative parts, do you have any idea what is the problem please. abdulwahab wuhayeb very little confusing information.. if you want my help you need to give me more information, what exactly happens, do you have fault codes? Do you have a vacuum leak?
