Just look at the wahala you have to through just to get a passport. This is so frustrating 😤. I'll just get an ETC and deal with getting it in Nigeria

I guess I won't be going anytime soon. Have an emergency and was hoping to travel in the next 2 months. I don't have NIN and have not renewed my passport in years.

Hi. I just applied for a renewal for my kids who are minors. I don't see where to print the acknowledgement slip. What was availanle for print out was the application form and payment receipt. can you guide me further on this

To print out your receipt/acknowledgement slip, go to this website, portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/OnlineQueryStatus. You will need the application ID and Reference number. I hope that helps

Pls update me how your biometric went with your family am planning to travel to Atlanta next month August 2024 for my bio..pls is acknowledgement slip require and 2 photo? 2 did they go by appointmenttime? My appointment is 12 noon how long we have to be arrive? How long the whole process ? Kindly tell me the little thing about your experience cus I know system can't never change home in abroad. Can you explain “signed” application form? I have my completed application form, and it’s dated at the top, but I did not sign it. The application never had me enter a signature or mention signing it.

On the last page of the 3 pages, it has a date and a signature/thumb impression at the very bottom. You put the date and sign it.

@@joyee4real the application form via the NIS website is just one page that you can print. I didn’t see anywhere where it requires you to sign

Most of our problems are man-made for selfish reasons. I don't understand why one (In USA) can't do biometrics with affidavits (showing proper identification) from any authorized agency in their home state and upload same to the Nigerian embassy portal. Instead, you have to take time from work to travel out of state, pay for hotel and deal with their shenanigans just to renew your passport. One should be able to do this completely online. Then the embassy staffs will travel across different states charging Nigerians extra fees (which goes in their pockets) to renew their passports. If the Nigerian government can't fund embassy operations, they should just shut down. Nonsense!

You are right my dear. They make you travel all the way without a guarantee because sometimes they will still fail you. They need to overhaul their system of operation and make it easier for Nigerians to renew their passport. It is heartbreaking 💔

I applied online today..after paying online, the page disappeared. I got a confirmation email with the receipts but I can’t find a copy of the form I filled anywhere. I do I take my completed form to the consulate if I can’t find the form on my account

there's no space provisioned for signing and dating on the application form.

Yeah.updated .you can't sign any form just a page now.and upload the document online .heading to Atlanta for mine too next month

After your payment, there is payment slip and acknowledgement slip which looks exactly the same. The only difference is the name, the information looks exactly the same but you still need both of them regardless.
