Hi Bruce. . .Working on those 2 cycle snow throwers is much less aggravating if you remove the lower belly pan as well as the top cowling. The extra time taken to do so really makes the job much less annoying. They are poorly engineered and are a pain in the patoot to work on. Takes too much time to repair and is usually not worth the effort. I don't take them in for repair anymore because most of the time they have been neglected and the owners usually ask me to repair them the day before a snow storm is expected. I admire your patience. . .Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy watching you.

You are right. Yes if I was to do this model again i would do it differently. I am always shy to remove more panels than I thnk i need as they are so hard to put back together, The owner of this one was very patient so I did have to worryabout time. Not having snow the day before helps. Thanks. The loose governor threw me a curve ball.

How's she goin'? Man-O-Man this machine just didn't want to get fixed eh!! What a battle. That was a good catch on the governor though Bruce. I figured there was no stopping you till you figured it out. I laughed when the text came on saying "I'm videoing this for the next guy."!! That was priceless!! LOL I guess you'll not work on this machine again for a long time!! Take 'er easy!!

I think am finished with this model. Before it came in the owner never told me it was a 2 stroke. I don't know if he knew it was a 2 stroke.

I don't like 2 strokes either. Not even on chainsaws, but I guess on chainsaws we're stuck with them eh!!@@BrucesShop

Hey Bruce, Should have pulled the shroud open with a bungee cord, would have given you both hands to work with. 🙂

It seems to me that it would only take a moment to remove the wheels for easy access and less cuts and bruises

I have to admit that there is no way I would waste time fighting that belly pan. It would be taken off and customer duly charged, but I actually think job would have been easier and less time even with removing the pan. Just my 2 cents lol

What is preventing that damn lower cover from coming off? Like you say, a good night's sleep usually brings the problem to light, but usually at 3AM! OK, that lower cover goes below the axle. The lower cover on my toro two stroke comes off pretty easily, but no nice access plate for spark plug changes like this one. God forbid you have to service the recoil on my toro, half the frame has to come apart to get the cover off. Yeah, Mr. "Fixit" was messing with that governor for sure

Torx bit on an allen/hex head screw isn’t ideal. Higher torque applications it can round out the screw heads.
