This is a strange way to repair rotten boards on a deck. Why not just replace the whole board instead of chopping off just the rotten part? It’s not like wood is that expensive.
@@Scruffie440 sure, if he was replacing the whole deck that would be a hefty bill, but one plank is like $50 from home depot. Insignificant compared to the time it takes
@@hapremierpaintingell you titled the video “how to repair damaged boards”….but you only cut and didn’t technically repair anything. If repairing is cutting the board and leaving a hole in my deck, I’m confident it’s something I don’t want to learn. And replying to the comment by asking if someone is familiar with the trade isn’t helpful either. If they are already familiar with the trade, they won’t need a damned how to video video in the first place 😂😂
@@kidxclusiveYou may already know how to replace, fix, notch a deck but for those of us learning this/his video is helpful regardless of him replacing a rotten piece by cutting it or removing the entire piece! Furthermore, the title is clear to me and it’s why I clicked on it. It seems enough to me to follow and it’s exactly what I needed instead of hot air being blown up my ass!
