What You did is great for a riced up honda that will see a scrap yard in 3 or less yrs or end up in an impound for 7 days thats makes it to expensive for the owner to get back. Having the visual of this particular project as reference in mind & your steps should be beneficial. So again, back up your critisism & show us - for those that want to do it right as you say.

@@michaelsalcido3736 Degrease before you grind/sand into it as not to get and oils/silicones into the opened up surface. No need to cut it open in the line of the break as you should sand/grind it out front and back 3-4 inches or as much as space will allow with a long taper. brush on the resin and then start with layers of glass from narrow (not much wider than the opened repair) to the width of your tapered area and it should be done from both sides. When installing the glass you work out all the air as leaving little pockets of air as this guy has done takes away from the strength of the structure. If you did the repair properly it is just a waste of time and material to use a poly based filler. Even if you do you don't mix it with the activator to the extreme this guy has. It makes it brittle and especially in this case being on a bumper cover thats not in the least wanted. Then he mixes it on cardboard. This draws out the chemicals from the filler which reduces its effectiveness.

He forgot to grind the inside where he fiberglass-ed I fix a lot of repairs gone bad, that is one of them

Definitely a quick and dirty repair but it will probably be ok. There are better ways of doing it for a stronger and seamless repair.

What about fixing an item that has a missing section where you have to recreate that shaped area?
