This was very helpful to repair dreadlocks that have been growing for 11 years. Overtime traumas can cause impair hair but key steps I will like to contribute is fiber cloth to dry hair for thinning and making sure your hair is completely dry

How do i fix opposite prpblrm. My hair is very similar yours im middle eastern with similar softness and curl as you. The issue thoygh is my freeform has areas thar are too thick, like where a giant ball or a extra drradlock formed out side of lock like a extra head or even some have started a extra lock at root or are ball at end. I started my locks with 22 inch long hair and its been gettung thicker amd thicker and idk how to fix the extra the best way

What happens if you just recomb the roots of your locs, like the new growth??

I’ve had problems with locticians the last 2 they purposely did my hair incorrectly. The first one in February 5 2023 put holes in my loc at base the second was to repair the first she didn’t charged me 255 cuz I couldn’t get in until 10th week so 3 weeks outside of they common recommended time frame to get interloc retightens. She did around my edges thick but looking thru my scalp I have thin locs at base all over and my actual locs are thinner. Which if ur locs like braids is too heavy to support the base it will cause them to break it’s common sense which I am saying this was intentional because she created a scene at my appointment now I left a review about her staff which has walked off from her calling to confirm day before not showing up or being late my cost when I signed up was 80 bucks it went then to 125 and they charge to wash 25.00 then while under dryer it went to 255. So as I felt her taking my new growth I am realizing that she did it to where my locs are so far apart from each other combining them is damn near impossible I felt her scrape at base with whatever she uses I’m thinking they side by side so I am trying to combine locs all over my head that are holding on by strand of hair and can’t. What y don understand I was over the road trucker in South Carolina and happen to have a well known loctician combine all my locs already to make them string at base these 2 women have undone that so my once comebined locs are now thin at base again. I am convinced it’s these terrible locticians and when I said something to her about the loctician in South Carolina stating that no one can tell u about ur hair that she only retightens once maybe twice a year. As I see other men do and locs to their buttons. This loctician that did me dirty this time said if people don’t come regularly we won’t make any money. My hair is not to fund someone’s monthly income I’ve been loc,d coming on 3 years have medically treated my alopecia via injections when I wore my hair in Afro it was major hair loss now that I e been locd I have shoulder length hair so it took a lot to get here only 2 have two triflin locticians just do me any kinds of way at a interloc retighten back to back is heartbreaking I’m looking at ur video and wondering do I just give up I can’t even pull mine together because I have married locs already married together bottom locs thick but at my roots all of them practically hanging on my thin wrapped strands. The girl next to me locs done correctly thick base squares. Why spin mines just let them hang why not pull them close to rest of loc very very frustrated and angry but Galatians 6:7

Is doing crochet hook pain? Because from my experience, at my scalp I felt needle like poking my scalp. When I got mine done, full head, imagine for 5-6 hours Needle like poking my scalp. To the point that i had cramps on my chest because to endure the pain i press my chest.

Problem with me is the one that’s thinning is simply cuz my barber definitely messed up and either didn’t say nothing or didn’t realize it cuz I have a identical one on the other side same size and it’s root is perfect so I really don’t wana combine it 😢

How is going Gunther? One question. How would you repair a thin lock without combining??? I accidentally cut into one of mine in the back while tapering but don’t want to combine because I have an even number of dreads and I like to two strand braid regularly. hi… u got me into this mess using your interlocking method to quickly and easily get locs lol. Just kidding kind of I did follow your method and &OMG at times as I’m sure everyone I began to question myself my method and my sanity. It’s it good to trim your locs completely the same length over your whole head or will it take away from the natural look because I know the back of your head the hair is always usually longer then the front and I don’t wanna turn out looking crazy 😭
