Here you will see Ark Roofer replacing 1 bad pipe jack.
We use lead so that it will never crack like the rubber ones do.
We used #Owenscorning #weatherlock #iceandwatershield to protect from future leaks
By carefully removing and installing the pipe jack, we did now have to repair any damaged shingles.

I’ve made copper and lead boots for over 35 yrs. You’re not supposed to cut the top of it to fold it in your supposed to work it in gently with the back of a ball peen hammer

Try using a Bernzomatic torch to warm up the shingles so they come apart easily and you won't damage them. Amateurs.

Commentor is not very knowledgeable with lead. Should have installed a pvc splice and pipe extension. Lead gets cut 1' above pvc and folded into the pipe by using gutter crimper and tapping the lead till it forms to the inside of the pipe.
