You don't have to remove all this. Remove the plastic cover over hood latch , the brackets for the radiator and condensor, set the hood latch aside and the big metal thing that covers everything is held on with 3 bolts on each side. Then you'll have all the room you need.
Why didn't you just unbolt the radiator upper support instead? That would have given you the room to work without the possibility of damage to the condenser or radiator by forcing the fans through there. Although not much could be done when the bolts are that rusty.
my 2009 crv AC issues started with replacing the AC clutch relay 6 yrs ago, then last year i replaced the AC clutch and compressor. recently it was blowing cool not cold air. i checked the freon and the levels were below average so i wanted to top it off, then all of a sudden the freon gauge went nuts and all of a sudden i heard the all too familiar back and forth clicking of the AC clutch. i went ahead and replaced the clutch relay again to the same results. BUT i noticed that while the AC clutch was clicking off and on....the cooling fan was never on the whole time and i just noticed it. I want to replace the cooling fan, but would that also take care of the AC clutch clicking off and on?
do clutch fail intermittently before stopping working at all? my crv clutch stoped engaging all of sudden ...i noticed that condenser fan isnt working even directly plug to 12 volts...do u think clutch isnt engaging cause of the failing condenser fan?? or are 2 different fails? i check the compresor conector...theres no continuity betwen point 1 and pont 2...
