Oh I remember my dad fixing carburetors. He would disassemble completely and soak them. Parts came out so clean. Amazing how much puzzle piecing it takes to make things work. Lol Nice work. Always great to have kids around. I always liked to see my dad work.
It seems like older carbs were made a lot better then the ones today. That particular mower had just about all plastic internals where a lot of older things were mostly metal. Today's ethanol gas destroys plastic and rubber seals. I thought it was insane that a new carb was only 10 dollars more than a rebuild kit.
