Thank you for this video, I'm new to cars and owning them and have never been super great with cars. This video helped tremendously because this is the exact same car I have and had the problem down to a T. I really am happy you put the part in the beginning where you tried to start the car so I could see that it was the same problem my car had. So thank you very much!
It amazes me that y'all gloves stay intact. Mine are all shredded and am bleeding on at least one finger. Great video and the only thing i might add is to have deep penetrating oil like PB Blaster because that's what I had to use on those bolts for that Shield. But other than that that's a right on video! Thanks!
Thanks Eric. I'm going to help a friend change the starter on this model. I'm hoping we can jack it up. It does look tight to work on. Thanks. I did subscribe. You are a good teacher.
Eric just went to see about your diamond gloves because I too like the stretch of latex and they're out and don't know when or if they will be back my guess is most medical facilities use the vinyl crap because of latex allergies and latex is a thing of the past except for condoms. 🤣🤣🤣😞. Also I have had this cash monkey for almost 2 years and so far I've had to put 2 starters, alternator, driver's front wheel bearing ignition module and it has a cps failure I deal with and now I get to replace the starter again for the last freaking time and I'm done. Great video, loved how you put up what tools it took.
i have a 2003 kia sorento, it has been sitting all winter so i got a new battery for it but it will not attempt to start. i get all dash lights and the radio will come on but the key doesnt do anything when turned. any ideas?
it could be a bad battery or alternator that is draining your battery. check your battery level first and confirm that its healthy and holding a charge if so you can eliminate the charging system. you can have a bad crankshaft or camshaft sensor they are common issues on these Kia sorento check for a check engine light or code to confirm you do not have a code. thank you for watching, I hope you find your problem
I am new to this car. It is my aunt's and I want to buy it. I had a jump charger on it and got nothing but the dash and stuff. There was a check engine light on. Is that normal?
@@raymondrocker2781 yes that's normal for it to be on it should turn off if the vehicle turns off. its common for the cam and crankshaft sensors to go out and it's a long repair
@@raymondrocker2781 I was able to do it myself, if your handy with cars and you have the tools and time you should be able to do it watch my video I recorded a long time ago ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rasUnUe4x6Y.html

I went to start my Sorento and it was making a clicking sound, all my dash lights, radio and etc was still working. I still jumped the battery and the car started. After turning it off and trying to start it again it wouldn’t start and wasn’t even making the clicking sound, again all electric is working. Now 2 days later it will start up but sounds weak as it starts. ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
Same happened to me some ten days ago.One morning there was just few clicks.Bought the new battery, still clicks. Then we loaded the battery because we've considered it was low,and tried next morning.Nothing.We jump started it,and after that I drove for some 70km,and later that day next 90km. Next day managed to turn it on twice, but third time failed. No clicks at all. After three days and heavy snow and -12°C,she started like Russian tank.In second. Two days later, just clicks.I'll see tomorrow connection cables, and sand it off. Thank you for your comment,as it really helps.
I have a 2004 Kia Sorento and I have replaced the battery and the starter I got to use starter but for some reason it is still very loud and sometimes it's not working at all and I cannot figure out if it is not set incorrectly or what is anybody out there that can help me please let me know
no the Starter is used to start the vehicle once its running the starter disengages from the flywheel a bad starter will only cause your vehicle to not start
