If you are a DIY'er and wantto know how to replace a water pump on your 4.0 ford, this may help you. Not a difficult job to do on these. Come join me as we do one.
I found this video to be excellent. The camera angles were great, even though I'm sure the camera location was a PITA! I feel ready to tackle this job in the morning. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video :)
Wish you was my mechanic!!! I used to do all my own work as meticulous as you but at my age of 59 I'm just all beat up every where from years of carpentry and automotive work!! So I'll have to find a reliable mechanic now!!! Thank you for a fine job in the video department and mechanical skills .....
God bless ya. Keeping it simple for simple people like me. I was a bit intimidated. Borrowed the fan tool from local parts store. Kept going back and forth to your video. Took about three hours, moving cautiouslyl
Loved this vid, very educational, shows the thoroughness of a mechanic that goes the extra mile due to electrical background. I like your style! I like diagnosis and mechanical vids equally :-) Really digg when u do test drive vids, gives u a chance to reflect on a job or issue. Good stuff! Suggest to your partner to say hello once in a while, he is an integral part of your business as well! Thanks Joe 👍👍
@@JoesAutoElectric I hear you, every body has a level of shyness, my opinion. Just let him know people are thinking about him and wish him success as well as you Joe. 👍👍
This is a very good video, you would be the mechanic to go to. You are very meticulous, a clear speaker and educational. You helped me a lot with my water pump. Thank you!
This was an awesome video. Appreciate the detail. Will make my DIY replacement look like I know what I'm doing. I feel very confident. Seriously, thanks!
Great job, very detailed and keep up the good work. I know it hard to make these vids while doing the work. It is appreciated. Unfortunatly i have an 09 version of this truck. It is the biggest piece of crap ford ever made. 112,000 miles and ive had to replace the thermostat housing three times, chain tensioners, most of the door switches so my dome light would go off, the stupid gas filler flap that has no gas cap and worst of all the PCM about 6 years ago. Now i got a check engine light that indicates a bad EGR and purge valve at the same time, yet truck runs fine, nice and smooth no rough idle. At the same time the gas guage has gone wiggy. One day gauge says 3/4 the next day its almost on empty and low fuel light is on. Go th fill it up and only holds 6 gallons. The other day i heard a small hissing and noticed a small crack in top of radiator. On top of that i noticed a few small drops on the driveway of what feels like an oily sustance that appears to be coming out of one of those hard lines in the bottom of the radiator. Wish i could afford a new vehicle. Now its to the point i cant afford to fix all these issues. I hate these new garbage vehicles.
Hi Joe. As you know a bunch of us will be in Tarrytown, March 30th for the TST seminar. If your going to have a meet up March 31st would be the day! You did a good job recording the steps for this job.
You work like me, tool in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Been thinking of getting another explorer, not sure if I want gen 2 or 3. Hope you had a happy new year
Que tal Jose buen trabajo oye yo hise lo mismo pero no le puse el pegamento al gasket . No savia que sele ponía me puedes decir que sele pone por favor, tengo que quitarla y ponerle por que está goteando
Joe how did you find the leak ? Did you pressure test the cooling system first ? What type of wrench did you use to take the fan off ? Good video your doing a GREAT Job take care Joe
Customer pressure tested it himself. For the fan, I have a Lisle set here to remove them. Don't know the exact part number, but comes with 2 wrenches and the holding tool. It works on a bunch of makes and models.
