From Memory they just sit around the shaft and when putting the outer case on you can work them into place. sorry for not being 100% sure but this process was done quite a while ago
I once went to a repair shop and watch a guy do this process, but on a Harlo forklift (modified Ford 445c I think). They stood the whole axle housing upright, make sure you put wheel lug nuts back on to protect the studs. I'm in the middle of this right now, it makes putting every back in place pretty simple. Now I've gotta rig up blocks on a pallet jack like these guys did, thank you for the good idea, much easier than the floor jacks and chain hoist I used to get the thing off. Cheers!
Would you know the axle retaining nut size off hand? I have a Ford 3550 and everything looks similar. I believe it to be a 34 mm but your input would be greatly appreciated!!
Hello, I would like to know what is the real position of control valve, manifold & tubes in tractor transmission ford 655a.because they armed my transmission and the F and R lever are inverted. if I act for the front, it goes backwards. if I drive backwards it's going to the front
if your going to do a video on how to replace brakes you have to explain things not just fly through it at high speed ok when you know how not much good for the diy person.
