Same, what a way to ruin your company rep. Any vehicle company would issue a recall and comp or replace the part so they can keep the customer for the next generation of products. Alright, I just followed this guide and replaced my cooler. Powered it on just now, core temps 27C. Mission success. As far as how useful this guide is, I worked in IT to pay my way through college for 4 years. The #1 question I had during this process was how to remove the existing cooler, which the step by step guide in the video was incredibly helpful. Installing the new cooler though, was a whole 'nother story. The cooler I bought, Corsair H100i, included instructions to mount the radiator to the top of the case, not the front. From that point on, this video was useless. I followed the manual where I could, filled in the gaps with my work experience.

Thank you for the guide. It was great foresight on you guys’ part to know that your part would fail after a year of light to mild use and the PC was never overclocked. Had to replace a storage drive that failed as well. I can’t believe I spent over $2,000 on a pre-built with you guys and my friend had better luck with his pre-built from a Costco. I had such higher hopes. Next time I get a PC I will definitely be building it myself. I tried calling IBuyPower yesterday and 30mins of waiting on the phone it finally gave me an option to hold my place in line and someone would call me back.... well Noone ever called me back so I decided to take matters into my own hands... spent 2k on a pc and this happens... guess I should just go buy a new AIO and not waste my time or the thermal paste I ordered earlier. @AcidicHotwire
@AcidicHotwire 2 года назад
I just submitted an RMA for the iBuyPower liquid cooler in the system I bought 6 months ago. So many unanswered questions. Will the replacement cooler even come with instructions? What is a "good" temperature for a CPU? Will I need to pour the liquid into the cooler or does it come with it already in? Should I buy additional liquid, and if so, what should I get? I get that this was a generic replacement video and you tried to incorporate general information appropriate for all systems, and I can (and have) Googled much of the missing info, but if you want to make a good instructional vid for your customers a few more specifics would be helpful.
@123bruhhhhhh
@123bruhhhhhh 2 года назад
AIO comes as 'closed' loop with the liquid already inside. If its custom loop, you'll need you're own liquid. You'll have to Google temps for your own cpu. Wish you luck bro, figuring out problems with prebuilts can be stressful.
@AcidicHotwire
@AcidicHotwire 2 года назад
@@123bruhhhhhh Thanks. I actually figured that part out already but, sadly, the situation has gotten worse. iBuyPower decided that they won't send customers replacement parts anymore unless we send the old one in first, even with a deposit. So they've asked me to either send my whole computer in or dismantle the AOI cooler and send it in, effectively rendering the machine unusable. Since neither option is possible given the daily needs on the machine I told them to shove it and bought a Corsair iCUE H100i. Once it arrived I realized that the thing supports fans with two 4 pin connectors, and iBuyPower put in their own proprietary case fans with single 6 pin connectors. In other words, either I bow to them or I spend over $300 on a 6 month old computer (that cost $4k to begin with) so I can replace the cooler and all of the case fans. To say that this will likely be the last iBuyPower I ever get is an understatement.

@@rasmodeus1 Ah, my heat sync's performance started to degrade and I looked up potential reasons and one of the listed reasons is that the coolant undergoes a process where it's less able to carry heat over time, and the more heat it has to move the faster the coolant degrades. @@danielvillar839Any air cooler. Most online system builders prefer AIO water coolers because they are easier to ship. The radiator hanging off the CPU/Motherboard can cause a lot of stress in shipping. But other than that there really isn't much benefit over a standard air cooler. I ended up grabbing something I could find on short notice when my iBuyPower AIO failed, which was a Cooler Master hyper 212. PC isn't any louder and my temperatures are better than ever. A custom built water loop can be great if you're into overclocking, but the maintenance is very important with systems like that. Where air coolers just need a dusting every few weeks/months.

@@OmegaGrunt are the fan coolers fine for them. I just brought a PC from them and I got a custom AIO, but I just got the default fans because I did not think they were worth It. Are the fans fine or will I need to change it. It is my first PC so I am not sure
