Thank you so much for this video. I purchased the pliers and some replacement clips, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I was able to remove and replace the broken clip; it was easy peasy. Thanks again!!
First:. Worst background music ever. Sounds like a nervous plucking when - really- calm is needed here. Second:. SHOW THE WORK CLOSE UP!! Jeez, have NO IDEA what you are grabbing with the pliers.
someone opened the french door with the blinds closed. a wind blew of 3 of the blinds. it broke the clip that it clips into at the top. I can replace the blind or make a new hole in it but there is nothing to 'clip' it into. I've had these for a long time and don't know the mfg. they were a special order at the time. 25 years ago.

Hello, this is great, however, I need other parts fixed on this Decomatic Vertical Blind. Is there a series for all the parts on this headrail? Specifically, the chain does not easily thread the end gear and rotate the vanes. How do I pull that end piece apart to see what's wrong with the gear? Also, it appears there are chain connectors (apparently the chain was broken at some point) and they appear to be close to the gear. How do I avoid that area of the chain going through the gear?
Hi there, If the chain isn't opening the slats open and closed very well, that indicates that the gear is stripped. To see if we have the replacement gear you need, please email a few pictures to us. Our email address is service@fixmyblinds.com.
Hi Dylan - Not all vertical blind stems can be replaced. If you'd like to find out if your stem is replaceable, please email us pictures of your stems. Our email address is service@fixmyblinds.com.
Not sure what brand verticals these are. Just bought this home. The one room where I need the blinds to work well, the master, a slat, is out. It's not torn on top or anything, but it seems that the stem/gear needs replacing bc it won't budge any direction. I don't have your specialty pliers, but if I don't know what type of verticals I have - how do I know if the pliers and/or the stem & gear replacement would fit? I can email you pics, as you suggested to others, but how in the world can you identify all the various & sundry blinds from a measly pic, lol?!? Thanks so much, in advance! Broke widow
